He's like several times worse than the drama version and never gave her any sort of affirmation during those 6 years. Hence Flora's crash out was totally justified.

He knew she's special to him but refused to get down from his pedestal to do any initiative to win her back every single time.

All of those regrets hit him hard during those 3 years.

iirc, in the book, Luan Niang only asked to get back together, no future stuffs. The drama toned him down a lot, so I'm not surprised we got that dialogues from the ep19 preview.

ikr. Some viewers are critical about Flora's actions (some are rightfully so) while totally overlooking the root cause.

It's not a simple 'miscommunication'. Flora straight up doesn't feel secure with Luke and she feels very small in their relationship, period. She has to specially request him to sometimes says good words to her. And she knows he'll not come down from his pedestal to try to accomodate her.

If someone has this kind of reservations towards their partner, hiding things is one of the inevitable outcomes.
