Ep 7 finished. Gosh, it was so good. She's teetering between two extremes, one moment she's strong, rational, bright and sunny, and then there are her vulnerable moments which look like she might collapse any moment.
When I said I was looking forward to this drama, a psychologically complex Ye Li with all those mysteries was not on my bingo card. I was only expecting a slightly altered version of the novel at most. Such a surprise from the drama truly.
ok. now i wanna read the novel so bad. i have no plans of reading it in the 1st place coz i dont wanna compare…
Drama is sooo different from the novel. Especially Ye Li. Her revenge schemes, Lin Shan mountain mystery, her abnormal psychological states... all are drama originals.
Novel itself is a good read, so you will be entertained. Just keep the above in mind while reading.
But, I seriously love how the writer arranged things around for the drama. To me, if a show makes me want to know more and more about the characters as the story progress, that's the mark of a good story. This drama is doing exactly that!
Ye Li is such an enigma. We have been shown a lot in the first 5 episodes, but there's still so many more about her we feel we have yet to learn.
Mo Xiuyao is 'broken' broken, trapped in the past. I'm so happy to get a male lead who can be emotional like a human.
So far, this is totally worth the wait! I'm looking forward to the rest of the story.
I've been waiting this drama for ages, and now that it's released, I'm in my busiest days for the season.... but, what is sleep!!! I guess I'll catch some during tmr's commute lol.
Ep1 finished. Even though I can understand why she said what she said right after rebirth, I was like "Why are you blurting out your biggest assest to that snake, at ep1 to boot!?" lol
Does anyone else find the editing weird in this drama especially this last episode ? Felt like they were cutting…
Same, especially ep11. One moment it's intense with all those sound tracks, and baam the next second we are off to something totally irrelevant abruptly.
The previews for ep12 ain't helping it either lol. They at least better give us something swornworthy in the final epi though. That's what we are here for...
I havenβt watched the episode yet. The way people are complaining, did it actually get that bad in just one…
Just give the latest episode a go and you'll get where the complaints are coming from. I've been enjoying this drama from the beginning, and even a casual watcher like me had to raise my eyebrows at the lightning speed they are pushing the plot. lol
is this drama worth watching? π€ i don't want to waste my time. Read a lot of negative review about ML acting…
Main couple is good. Their story is dreamy as it should be, and it was done relatively well.
Other subplots and some characters, not that great. All in all, it's alright if you can turn off your brain for those bits, and simply here to enjoy the main couple. I did just that, and had a great time where it counts.
I think this drama should've been more than 12 episodes. Ep 11 spends a lot on political schemes and motivation.…
Exactly. That was such a last minute thing. No build up or whatsoever yet we are supposed to buy ML's conviction behind this decision. The show seemed to have a lot on their check list but somehow settled with a 12-epi length...

What a banger dialogue. This should be the go to response for all those terrible cdrama parents lol. You are awesome 3rd uncle!
But there is no revenge stuff from Ye Li, and she is not such an enigmatic person in the novel.
Also, they basically skipped their entire pre-marriage arc.
I guess there will be more differences as the drama continue as well given the plot until ep5.
