It's not a simple 'miscommunication'. Flora straight up doesn't feel secure with Luke and she feels very small in their relationship, period. She has to specially request him to sometimes says good words to her. And she knows he'll not come down from his pedestal to try to accomodate her.

Her obsession was what's sustaining this relationship for this long because she's willing to tolerate all his craps. During their first half of relationship, if she cut him off, I doubt Luke would do anything to salvage it. His ego is way up there to meet her at half way.

I think it's the latter. Going by the remaining episode count, they are going to cut or condense tons of stuff. It's probably the same reason behind portraying Luke a bit warmer overall pre-breakup, for easier transistion to down bad Luke post-breakup without needing to commit a lot of screen time to show his love and longing for Flora.

We'll surely get one of their road trips, it's shown in the intro. But, I want BOTH, because same destination but very different emotional weights behind each. I choked up with complex emotions reading the 2nd trip especially.

About 2 years I think. It was mentioned in one instance that SZT has been in Lime for 2 years. So their relationship should be slightly short of that.
