I agree. She’s playful and cute. And most of the cutesy bits are just her acting like a baby with Ning Yuxuan. It’s a kind of vulnerability reserved for a partner. With others she’s usually fierce or capable. I actually think she’s a bit like Bai Lu but with more emotional maturity.

It’s not on TV but it could have been or it can be if a channel is interested. It will depend on how much it costs. It would be cute if the station that re-aired JunJiuLing picked it up. They did a really good job of post production and apparently it aired quite well despite being a small channel. It competed and/or beat Immortal Samsara’s 2nd broadcast I think.

Yeah, usually shows try to find VAs with voices close to the actors. It’s not the same voice as Xiao Feng. I think it might be the same voice as SJFY tho. It feels familiar.
I’m not sure why they didn’t use her original voice. She actually has fans who actually follow her for just her voice😂but she only has one drama out with her own voice. That drama though is really good, and because it’s her dubbing herself you can evaluate whether she is actually good at acting (I think she’s great lol).

This not directed specifically at you and is meant for open discussion but then what does a viewer mean by childish? It’s thrown so much at female characters but rarely male ones. Not asking these questions to start a fight but out of genuine curiosity:
What’s childish about voicing the fact the fact that your husband isn’t treating you right and wanting to leave and trying to find the means to do so? Many grown women can’t do that and the FML is around 18. What’s childish about starting your own business though? The FML has started her business in 2 locations from the ground up. What’s childish about helping your husband fight corruption through intelligence gathering? Ning. Yuxuan was able to deal with the shipping tax issue so quickly because Ji man acted as a plant and then did the auditing for him. Or recognising the charms of other women and empowering them to come work for you and make their own money? She brings down NYX’s cousin who has self esteem issues and relies on NYX’s money to come to her shop to make her own money.
Does liking flowers or being afraid of ghosts negate all other talents? Does needing to be saved mean you’re invalid in all other aspects?
Some of the posters on this page possibly have high voices, bubbly personalities, or like flowers. And, I’m sure the women posting on this page consider themselves capable despite having phobias. They probably also consider themselves capable despite needing to call the police when in trouble. Does that make them childish too?

The solo broadcast data is blowing my mind. Whether it remains so is whatever but right now this show is a proper dark horse.

What’s with all the hate against them? Vixens and bad asses are legit but cute girls are valid too! One of the reasons I love Cdramas/ Asian media is because I think it takes into account the female gaze and as a result, viewers get a different range of personalities than we usually see in Western media, which basically pretends the female gaze doesn’t exist.

The show has made the Maoyan online drama hot list for 5 consecutive days!!! It’s been #1 for at least 3 of them and they’re both still in the Top 5 for Vlinkage characters with Ning Yuxuan in the Top 3. It’s also climbed its way to the Top 5 on DataWin which is amazing because it’s the only show in the Top 5 that is a solo online broadcast, the rest are broadcasting on multiple platforms/TV.

She’s known for having a really nice voice and good lines. Before she became an actress, she was a quite popular TV host on IQIYI and last year she was a host for the CCTV Qixi Festival.

It’s the director. Xie Ze may not shoot people well but his pacing is quite amazing. Episodes really blow by and he can get through a lot in a short amount of time.

Plus I think Nie Sangyu’s entrance took viewers by surprise, basically at the level of Xiaofeng if they didn’t include the bouncing effects and this is wild considering the director is Xie Ze who is considered as ruining Xiao Ran’s image.

I thought it was all banned because RoaTF is transmigration into a novel but maybe there’s exceptions.

I really love Ji Man too. She’s so cute, fierce, and smart it’s hard not to love her. She’s definitely my favourite fml this year.
I think Nie Sangyu is fascinating because Xiao Ran has such a sweet face that to see such NSY’s expressions on it is a novel experience. I remember the Reuters pics of the outfit and she looked so sweet and adorable walking to the car. I would have never imagined her to play such a desperate, crazy, and cold character like NSY.

Yeah, it’s been banned for a few years now. That’s why some shows have such weird or stupid setups now cause a lot have to rewrite the script to work around the ban. Like I see your avatar is from TROTAR which has a similar transmigration plotline to RoaTF. If it went under review now, it wouldn’t be allowed.

RoaTF has really exceeded my expectations. She’s so pretty in it and her acting is so enjoyable in it, especially playing two roles.
She just finished or will soon finish filming a movie starring Jackie Chan and then I think it’s promotional work which I guess is promoting RoaTF.

As for new dramas, there’s been a few rumors but nothing substantial. Most suggested a heroine costume drama but it’s hard to tell what she’ll do next. It seems like she’s making a lot of really quiet moves tbh. The movie wasn’t in many rumors and neither was one of her recent endorsements.

Ngl, I low-key stan Nie Sangyu and I’m hoping she comes back a proper villain. If she does, there’s chances the popularity of this show will shoot up in China because she seems to be the more beloved character.

Tbh, I’m not sure either. I know dramas can get upgraded during production too but I think with Yunhe it rates how it’s performing. RoaTF has always been rated as S up until now so it would be strange to suddenly make it S+ unless the S+ is the marketing money and I don’t think they’ve done marketing to the level of other S+ like Starry Love that went all out with press conferences and stuff. RoaTF just got it’s own drama group page and the show is 1/4 of the way over.

It makes me sick too. Imagine someone gives you such an excellent performance and your reward for them is to trash their other subsequent work. I don’t know what’s wrong with either fan base but they need to go outside and touch grass. It’s really ugly.

Yeah, transmigration is banned but tbh it seems like the script kept the modern thinking for Jiman even though they changed the story to twins.
