It could be because they weren’t needed or due to censorship. It’s pretty standard to lose some episodes for cdramas. Sometimes they get added back too if it wasn’t a censorship issue.

It sounds like it’s best if you just stick to the East Palace. Please don’t come to trash her other dramas or partners because you can’t get over Xiao Feng or the Wangchuan couple. This is the kind of behaviour that has given GMP fans a bad image to passerby.

I think this is why she hasn’t filmed many dramas this year. Apparently C-ent often gives scripts to stars they think fit the archetype or they want to cast based off previous roles or popularity. In a recent interview she mentioned receiving a lot of sadomasochism scripts but from her tone, it seemed like she wasn’t interested. Instead, I think she’s waiting for quality teams + a script in a genre she hasn’t tried before.

Yes, a lot people don’t understand that she is in the industry without any backing when they criticise her choice of shows. Many don’t understand the reason why GMP is so beautiful is because it was designed to attract Fan BingBing and she gave it as a Bday present to Xiao Ran and then invested in it herself. GMP originally aired as a loss to Youku which may be why they’re trying claw money with any way they can now. They don’t understand that without FBB that PXR couldn’t get heroine roles until GMP aired and even then I think it was only her popularity on the Tencent acting variety show that made Youku throw a lifeline to her.
I hope the movie she just finished gives her more positive exposure. It has some big names in it if it is true and there’s a possibility she’ll be paired with a big star.

This show is supposed be a light comedy but it’s actually full of foreshadowing and detail, and there are Chekhovs guns everywhere.
An example is the flower shop owner warning Jiman about the calla lilies being poisonous. It’s used for comedic effect later in the drama but calla lilies are actually toxic and produce a similar reaction to the one seen in the show.

The TV version was so pretty. It gave me hope for this drama tbh because once the filter is fixed, the deleted scenes added back, and the poor shots removed Jun Jiu Ling is really good.

I agree. She’s playful and cute. And most of the cutesy bits are just her acting like a baby with Ning Yuxuan. It’s a kind of vulnerability reserved for a partner. With others she’s usually fierce or capable. I actually think she’s a bit like Bai Lu but with more emotional maturity.

It’s not on TV but it could have been or it can be if a channel is interested. It will depend on how much it costs. It would be cute if the station that re-aired JunJiuLing picked it up. They did a really good job of post production and apparently it aired quite well despite being a small channel. It competed and/or beat Immortal Samsara’s 2nd broadcast I think.

Yeah, usually shows try to find VAs with voices close to the actors. It’s not the same voice as Xiao Feng. I think it might be the same voice as SJFY tho. It feels familiar.
I’m not sure why they didn’t use her original voice. She actually has fans who actually follow her for just her voice😂but she only has one drama out with her own voice. That drama though is really good, and because it’s her dubbing herself you can evaluate whether she is actually good at acting (I think she’s great lol).

This not directed specifically at you and is meant for open discussion but then what does a viewer mean by childish? It’s thrown so much at female characters but rarely male ones. Not asking these questions to start a fight but out of genuine curiosity:
What’s childish about voicing the fact the fact that your husband isn’t treating you right and wanting to leave and trying to find the means to do so? Many grown women can’t do that and the FML is around 18. What’s childish about starting your own business though? The FML has started her business in 2 locations from the ground up. What’s childish about helping your husband fight corruption through intelligence gathering? Ning. Yuxuan was able to deal with the shipping tax issue so quickly because Ji man acted as a plant and then did the auditing for him. Or recognising the charms of other women and empowering them to come work for you and make their own money? She brings down NYX’s cousin who has self esteem issues and relies on NYX’s money to come to her shop to make her own money.
Does liking flowers or being afraid of ghosts negate all other talents? Does needing to be saved mean you’re invalid in all other aspects?
Some of the posters on this page possibly have high voices, bubbly personalities, or like flowers. And, I’m sure the women posting on this page consider themselves capable despite having phobias. They probably also consider themselves capable despite needing to call the police when in trouble. Does that make them childish too?

What’s with all the hate against them? Vixens and bad asses are legit but cute girls are valid too! One of the reasons I love Cdramas/ Asian media is because I think it takes into account the female gaze and as a result, viewers get a different range of personalities than we usually see in Western media, which basically pretends the female gaze doesn’t exist.

The show has made the Maoyan online drama hot list for 5 consecutive days!!! It’s been #1 for at least 3 of them and they’re both still in the Top 5 for Vlinkage characters with Ning Yuxuan in the Top 3. It’s also climbed its way to the Top 5 on DataWin which is amazing because it’s the only show in the Top 5 that is a solo online broadcast, the rest are broadcasting on multiple platforms/TV.
