In my opinion, he should be given more lead roles in movies or plays. It's quite evident that he has the potential to shine in such roles. It's a simple solution to help him showcase his talents and take his career to the next level.
I must say, that drama was an absolute treat! I adored every bit of it, especially because of the remarkable performances by both ML. However, the Chinese censorship ruined it for me as it prohibited any display of physical tenderness and love, making everything seem double-meaning. Despite this, it still manages to secure a spot in my top 3 favorites.
It's frustrating that there are no English subtitles available on YouTube after episode 3. I cannot find any other platform to watch this drama. It's a shame.
After watching Episode 5, I must say that the Female Lead (FL) of the show is really getting on my nerves. I just can't stand her overly submissive and passive personality. It's frustrating to watch her constantly being a doormat for other characters. I really dislike this kind of FL character.
I was a bit reluctant to start this but in the end I did, and I was glad I did. The story/plot does get draggy…
I have decided to give it a try based on your comment. It's becoming a pattern for most dramas to have a slow start. I've noticed the inconsistency of FLs who are excellent in martial arts but suddenly become a damsel in distress. However, what I find hilarious now is the coughing and spitting blood when sick or wounded, or even the powder on clothes to heal wounds. For me, an ideal FL is sassy and independent. My pet peeve is childish doormat FLs. I hope this drama exceeds my expectations.
Do not waste your time waiting for season 2 to conclude this drama. It will not be aired anytime soon due to Song Zu Er's tax issues accusations. This has caused significant delays and financial losses for various productions, actors, and actresses.
For an ending like this, I can’t believe I wasted 24 episodes worth of my time. I absolutely adored this show…
Obviously season 2 was meant to be but something went wrong. I wonder if this is Chinese censorship? They played a lot about BL misunderstandings so maybe. Rumors says book ends with both married with twins.
It's been 3 years since the first season aired and there's been no news about the second season. The thought of being left with a cliffhanger is disappointing. It would be a shame for such a great story to go unfinished.
I can see why such casting decisions are frustrating but I think dramas like these are aimed at a specific audience…
I want to clarify that my review is solely based on the drama I watched and not a generalization of all dramas. As a viewer who considers various genres of dramas, I judge them based on their storyline, acting, casting, and chemistry. While I appreciate your comments, I would like to emphasize that some dramas cater to a specific audience, and physical appearance does not necessarily equate to good acting or a good storyline. I never said the actress was terrible or unattractive, but in my opinion, another actress would have been more interesting to watch. As a viewer, I am entitled to be attracted to beautiful actors and actresses and more inclined to immerse in the story rather than seeing an average-looking person on screen. I found the comedy and drama storylines confusing. Was it comedy, or was it dramatic with villains and deaths? Thanks for sharing your opinion, but there is no right or wrong, just personal preference.
I can sense some anticipation regarding the future events related to the woman holding the girl. There was a mention of a happy end, but it seems like it might not be the case as she might meet an untimely death. This makes me wonder if there's a possibility of FL facing a similar fate at episode 16.
