For future reference: If it's a movie, especially one with a theatrical release then it typically doesn't make it online for six months after that, sometimes more. There's rare occasions when it'll end up on a streaming platform before that, but now that the pandemic is over, that's going to become even more exceedingly rare.
If Wu Bi now lives in a dumpy little room cuz he moved from his fancy apartment, why does he still need to trick…
At that point it wasn't about where he was living, it was about Su Yu questioning about Wu Bi's parents more than anything. Su Yu's dad said that he talked to Wu Bi's father at the parent teacher conference, but then Su Yu's deskmate told him about Wu Bi's mother showing up to the conference in expensive fancy clothes.
If your friend never brought you around to their place, always had excuses why you couldn't meet their parent, yet your dad always went on about meeting him randomly, would that make you curious?
Wu Bi figures he's in too deep now (especially with Su Yu saying he couldn't be friends with someone rich) to tell the truth and save their friendship, so instead he's doubling down on it to try to ease any suspicions.
Hell they should have killed Ms. Sussie half way through the series, this episode was actually good. lol
I still think it was Zo that did it. Yeah Gun was driving the car that hit his brother, but Ms. Sussie covered it up, stopping Zo from being able to sue and have the money to get Sin better treatment sooner.
Have you seen Moonlight Chicken, OurSkyy2 and now Be My Favorite? The plot, cinematography and direction have…
The majority of "Our Skyy 2" was meh at best, "Moonlight Chicken" was one of the better ones this year (though Gemini X Fourth storyline mostly carried that one), and yeah Gawin is good in Be My Favorite...
In an already extremely weak year for Thai BL series, this is just another meh start and another prime example of the problems facing the Thai BL industry. The Thai BL industry is becoming nothing but quantity over quality, and cycling through working couples until they find the right couple that makes throngs of girls wet and gladly hand over their money for an ever increasing amount of merch, fan concerts, etc. instead of it being about the story and which actors really are the best for the part. The pandemic forced them to work with smaller sets, smaller casts, smaller crew, and in the end focus more on the story because that's the only thing they had to really sell the series. Unfortunately now that the pandemic is considered over, the focus is back on to milking every cent they can and the quality be damned.
So Gawin nd Krist together aren't as bad as I originally thought they were and I hope Gawin gets more lead BL roles from this series, but I also hope gmm isn't going to try to make them a permanent working couple.
Gawin needs someone ala Max X Tul level dynamic where they can bicker, flirt, be sexy af, cutesy, roughhouse, etc. and that's just not Krist. I'd hate to see him get typecast because he was paired with someone that has such a shallow dynamic in their working couple.
The problem is they also flashed back to younger versions of themselves in one scene where they appeared to be…
Normally I'm not a fan of countries doing remakes of other series, but in this case I with Korea, Japan, or Taiwan would redo this one. The story was very different and it's so unfortunate that the execution really hurt it, would love to see someone do it right.
They picked back up into their characters like they were just going from one episode to the next, not from one season to the next with a time gap between production.
Every bit of the hijinks from season 1 are still here, they're all still just as cute and goofy as hell, but there's also an underlying hint of more maturity from the storyline this season as well.
It's nice to FINALLY get to see Ja being a goofball on camera in a series and not just on his youtube videos.
I definitely agree with others about the whole "War Of Y" manager fighting vibe flashbacks and hopefully after this first episode we'll only have to deal with it in small spats or even better, not at all.
This is going to sound like the dumbest thing, but holy shit they actually had Ja in nude briefs for that shower scene. The production for the rest of the series may be total shit, but they definitely get bonus points from me for finally being the only ones to do it right.
Personally I didn't think it was too bad for a first episode, but then again that could just be because of the quality of Thai BLs lately and lowered expectations. Either way I'll probably end up sticking with this one just because I really like Ja and it's nice to see him playing a different character type.
Ming was just like, challenge accepted Dr. and yeah, can't blame the housekeeping woman for taking a nice long look. lol
I do agree as this is Kong's first main role maybe gibe him the benefit of a doubt as some actors get better as…
I do think Kong has the potential to get better, my thing is the acting coach should have picked up on the blank stare thing right from the beginning and worked with him on it. As you said, this is his first main role and that's a big jump when all of his support roles didn't even have that much screen time. That's enough to rattle anyone's nerves, some end up overacting because of nerves and some go into the blank stare "remember my lines, remember my lines, don't screw this up" panic mode.
This year the Thai BL industry is proving one of two things, either they need to slow down on how many BL series are being done per year across the industry or they really need an infusion of quality writers, etc. to get the quality back up.
This one isn't entirely all that bad, but Kong needs some serious work with an acting coach because the majority of the time he has this "the lights are on but nobody's home" expression on his face and no, it's not just because of the character.
I know it's only two episodes in, but so far Kong and Pepper as a working couple just aren't hitting the mark for me. It's like they're doing a first read through or a beginning workshop, just following after each other reading the lines.
They didn't just say "you know what, time to one-up the ep 11 curse, we're going to have an ep 10 and 11 curse" they just carpet bomb nuked everything!! lol
If someone ever makes an edit with just the Mai and Reow scenes and leaves out everything after the twist in ep 6 then watch that...overwise, run run away, forget exists, forget you were ever here. lol
This series is unfortunately what happens when you have an amazing idea for a story pop into your head, but then you don't know where to go with it and decide to power through it on your own instead of bouncing ideas off of others. Then you take that mess and stretch it out to fill 6 episodes of a series, like scraping butter over too much toast. Finally destroying the best parts of that originally amazing idea by having the editor put the whole thing in a blender, then putting that blender into a bigger blender, and then finally trying to make something out of it.
Mig (Thana), Bhu (Mai), Bell (Reaow), and Bank (Time) did their best with the material they had to work worth. I honestly would like to see them paired up together again in another series as the four main leads / 2 main couples with a much better script. They certainly played well off of each with their respective partners and had great chemistry together.
------
I can only assume that the writer of this series has seen all the fans of BL series complaining about all of the love triangles that always have some meddlesome female character in them and said to themselves, "I'm gonna double down on the stupid and turn a love triangle into a love square...just because WTF else am I going to do with this?!".
-----
The night of the twisters aka the last half of episode 6 completely destroyed everything good (what there was) about the story in the previous 5 episodes. Not so much in the main twist itself, but the fact that the casting then completely destroyed any believability in it. If the four actors involved in the twist at least looked somewhat like each other then they could have gotten away with it. Either the casting director decided that didn't matter at all or the final part of the script hadn't been written yet and they didn't know about it.

Overall, at least this series gave me a few new actors on my radar to look out for in the future so I guess that's at least something.
Holy freaking more bromance than a Chinese "BL" series batman.
Ichijo Sota should have been drowning in all of that work, desperate to get back on track trying to find a path to fulfill his dream, desperate to escape from what his life has become. The whole naked dining thing should have been his last ditch attempt (and increasing failure) at destressing from everything, but in the end it ended up more gimmick than anything.
Life is messy, there's misunderstandings, things people don't have the courage to say at first, etc. but this just became a constant rinse and repeat throughout each and every episode. They added was too much filler with the boss, co-worker woman, etc when they really needed to spend that time actually developing the main characters and their progression together. It would have been so much better if the focus was on helping Miki Mahiro with the co-op more, and them actually sitting together after cooking and sharing impressions about the food, their food journey together, and sharing memories of grandma all bringing them closer together.
can't tell me she hasn't picked up some lessons in acting the past 9 years. lol
At least we finally got some progress on Wayu X Wayha. Wouldn't mind seeing them as leads in a spin-off series of life after getting out of the nightmare errr house of stars house.
