If you don't mind that everything looks so outdated + bad wardrobe & styling, this is quite fun to watch. The…
I actually like the visuals of this. People’s faces have a natural colour and you can see the details of their faces instead of excessive filters turning everyone’s face into an undetermined white blob.
Don’t blame Youku, blame that useless schmuck Zhang Haowei! He’s the one who couldn’t keep his blabbermouth…
Yes, mostly due to everyone waiting to see if he can be cleared. Also, ‘Kill Me Love Me’ was moved forward reportedly because the FL is pregnant and would be unable to promote the drama if it is broadcast later.
There is no way in hell ZYC will be 2nd billed behind that numpty who cannot act. Hopefully she will be restricted…
He is very good in modern ones, too. I saw him in Desire Catcher and I absolutely loved it. Personally, I much preferred My Sassy Princess over The Sleepless Princess. Those “mousy” scenes in the beginning were very silly and I even dropped it once because of it. On the other hand, I’ve watched My Sassy Princess twice already.

Yes, he is very talented and I like watching him a lot, but he has been terribly unlucky with his dramas with many of them apparently shelved or delayed for reasons unrelated to him. I feel like it’s been ages since I last saw him in a drama.
I was so heartbroken when he said he will be quiting acting. And I thought " Love Of Nirvana" will be the last…
Yes, he is back and hopefully his next projects will do justice to his talent. There are also two dramas with guest roles that will air 2025 - something to look forward to.
I find the second lead couple very annoying! They could have built up the romance and the characters' growth way…
I cringe every time the SML comes on screen. He is such an obnoxious character who is far too full of himself. Very irritating! The SFL is a blabbermouth.
Yes, Love of Nirvana was shot before he announced his retirement from acting in March this year. Nonetheless,…
It’s all related to his problems with that useless agency of his. The “retirement” was his way of going on a strike of some sort because they tried to force him to take another idiotic drama that he didn’t want to do. It looks like now a compromise has been found, hopefully one that will grant him full artistic freedom in the choice of his future projects. You can read all the details of the issue if you scroll a bit further down on this page.
I thought he retired...? I guess love of nirvana shooting was before tht

He could, and do better than many others, but sadly nobody seems to want to give him a chance. A guest role in a big production like this is still miles above the usual short-length dramas that he is wasted in. Hopefully, he managed to use this to make some useful contacts.
I like Pei Yan better. It’s interesting to watch the decisions he make whenever he’s caught in the middle.…
It’s hard not to like Jeremy even if he plays a creepy stalker or a crazed killer. If people are unhinged by it, it’s because he brings an intensity to these roles that is hard to match and always a pleasure to watch.
I prefer San Lang because he is righting a wrong. I dislike Pei Yan because he is a puppet fighting for power…
It’s one of the failures of the drama that it never makes Pei Yan’s purpose clear. In the novel he wants to establish a government which is based on Confucianism and consolidated power in one hand (preferably his 😉 but he later gives up that idea). This is to replace the rule of the current emperor who keeps balance by creating strife between the different factions in court. It makes his throne stable, but it is the common people who suffer from the permanent instability. Pei Yan’s father was (indirectly) killed by one of the emperor’s schemes, but he never talks about revenge.
He was very different in the novel. He made an ill-judged and violent pass at her but after that he left her alone.…
Yes, I did. I know he asked her to stay because he wanted to protect her, though not in the obsessive way he “protects” her in the drama. It was quite clear that he knew his mistake and would never make a pass at her again. I can understand Jiang Ci not trusting him and running away, but I also believe that his offer was genuine. Do you think that if he had wanted to keep her, she would have gotten very far?
He wasnt mindless lovebrain in here though. He used the FL throughout the drama for his political advantage and…
I find that very hard to imagine. Jeremy has always been an actor, not an idol, he doesn’t have toxic fans. I’ve been reading quite a lot of comments from his fans on WB and right now they are all rather dissatisfied with the role, none of them would ask for more of that. Could you please elaborate where you found this information to make sure it’s not just another vicious rumour spread against him?
In the novel, did PY like JC? How similar are their relationship in the novel and the drama?
He was very different in the novel. He made an ill-judged and violent pass at her but after that he left her alone. He was never crazy obsessed like this and it never clouded his judgement.
What are they saying about him? His role may be annoying and unlikable it’s okay to dislike Pei Yan but not…
I only have limited access to the Chinese sites. He’s been on 9 HotSearches on Weibo since this morning and none of his fans are copying the hashtags so they clearly aren’t anything good. Instead his fans complain about bullying and his fans are normally rather laid back.

Yes, if he is getting under people’s skin, it’s because he is a very good actor. He shouldn’t be attacked with people asking for his screen time to be reduced and what no, just for doing what the script is asking him to do.
