I think you misunderstood. “Black fan” is a literal translation of the Chinese expression for an anti-fan or someone who hates a celebrity. It has nothing whatsoever to do with race or someone’s skin-colour, so you can pack in your outrage as it is certainly misplaced here.

I heard it is scheduled to air after Mysteries of the Tang Dynasty2, so it will be really soon 😄

New melon today claims that it has been tentatively scheduled for 22/09/2024…while another one said it would come for Chinese National Day (01/10).
Take this with a large helping of salt, the date will probably change a few more times but at least the time period looks somewhat consistent.

I saw that on several platforms it was in third position among the “most anticipated” shows. That’s really good!

Throughout his career Jeremy Tsui has been relatively low-key, concentrating on his acting rather than buying hot searches on Weibo or other publicity.
Now, that he has retired from acting due to the refusal of his agency to release him after the contract expires, he has suddenly become the subject of several hot searches for seemingly trivial things such as growing a beard.
Any rational person (at least over here in Europe) would immediately ask whether it’s a slow news day 😂
However, given that these hot searches cost serious money and he certainly didn’t initiate them himself, one has to wonder what the intentions behind this could be.
One thing all these searches have in common is the attempt to anchor the notion that he has “withdrawn from the entertainment circle” in the public mind when in reality he has just taken some time out from acting and even clearly stated his interest in being a film director or producer in the future.
Furthermore, there seems to be a campaign to spread a lot of misinformation about his career on the internet, even attributing dramas that he never starred in (such as Ashes of Love) to him. While one such article could be a case of bad research, half a dozen smells of malicious intent.

Therefore, Jeremy fans who read this post, beware of rumours and misinformation.

The agency is called Star Media (星之传媒). Based on my research they don’t seem to have any other well known actors/actresses. It’s mainly the “supporting role in a short-length drama) level.
There is no concrete information about when Jeremy’s contract was supposed to run out, but I have the impression that it has now ended.

The two of them seemed to have a good relationship on set, so I’m hoping for sizzling chemistry in their scenes together 🔥

The latest that I’ve heard is that the drama is currently trying to sign up some more investment and should air sometime in Q3-2024.

True. The new one is much closer to his natural appearance. The previous picture was from a photo shoot with heavy white makeup that made his face look like a mask. I cannot believe anyone who has ever seen him in a non-drama setting would think that this would be a good representation of this artist.
Must have been uploaded by a black fan… or maybe that artistically challenged studio of his 😂
Edit: the last sentence is meant as a joke. For anyone who doesn’t know, a black fan is someone who dislikes and actively trolls a star.

I watched this only for Jeremy Tsui’s brief appearance.
His look in the movie strangely resembles his current “retired” look.
If anyone is interested in checking it out, he appears around time mark 21:00 in a flashback and again around time mark 59:00.

I’m having the same problem… sometimes even trying to correct very obvious mistakes, the edits get rejected.
Makes me wonder how the incorrect information got uploaded in the first place if checks are that rigorous.
