I watched 5 episodes and I think she's better with the crown prince, he's more interesting, I like his character.…
Honestly, I don't find the FL that interesting either... She seemed to be really bold in the first episode but now she just looks insecure all the time.
Until now, we don't necessarily know her true identity or her true motives. She was married to Lord Jing'an, Zhao…
Hmm. The question is whether they will stay true to the novel and give XFN a harem... Doesn't seem that way so far. I also don't think the script would have been written that way if she didn't have some secret agenda (in the drama).
I agree, although the Regisseur was really cruel at the end.
It's true... Especially since it's not even the true ending in the book apparently. Although I understand Feng Zhiwei's choice, I also think she was unreasonable. If she had married Ning Yi, even if he had chosen to become Emperor, she could have protected her people forming a union between the old country and the new one.
Plus, I feel bad for Ning Yi because her brother totally framed him and he was never cleared of that guilt in her eyes.
And the thing is, a drama like this should be funny... That is the main selling point. I don't know why there aren't any hilarious drunk scenes yet in a drama about booze lol.
it's really weird when some ppl actually rooting for yumi with woong.. seriously? woong's character really frustrating…
I think as characters however, they both learned a lot from that relationship though... They misunderstood each other a lot because they didn't communicate well with each other. Yumi was super insecure which made things difficult... She expected him to just understand her without explaining herself, but he couldn't read her well so he missed a lot and often misunderstood her, or thought she was fine when she wasn't.
Woong, although he had good intentions, often didn't explain himself well either because he was overly concerned with efficiency rather than with making sure she really understood what was going on with him/what he was thinking or feeling, so he often said too little... He didn't open himself up enough. (Not helpful for someone as insecure as Yumi.) He also had a habit of avoiding things that made him uncomfortable, also leading to a breakdown in communication....
The FL looks have been ruined with this hairstyle.. It just doesn't suit her at all.. I had to double-take whether…
Tbh I think she was kind of in a self discovery phase in this season. In the beginning of the drama she just lived for work, she had no interests, no friends. I think she evolved a lot over the season, and I wonder if she'll get a new look in Season 2 to reflect her increasing individuality and self-confidence.
I actually like it! I think she carries it off well. Spent most of the time thinking how gorgeous she looked with…
Yeah I heard this whole "women with short hair" has become a major social issue and symbol of femimism. I read something about this girl getting death threats over cutting her hair short. So weird... What I want to know is when the men are going to grow their hair long again like in the olden days?! 😍😂
Every once in a while the K-Drama world delivers something totally unexpected. This is one of them...as someone…
Totally agree! I think it also presents really well these ingrained preconceptions and insecurities and all of that which we all have to different extents! Also the conflict of the inner dialogue and all that. Very unique. But I think they could have done less animated scenes and better quality animations. It would also be funnier I think, if all the cells were with the FLs voice doing different voices.
Good thing this show came along. I'm so sick of typical romance dramas. This adds a little variety to that dead…
I think this drama is like a breath of fresh air. Not only does it totally hit the nail on the head with the whole modern dating scene, lifestyle, and psychology, but it's refreshing to portray a more realistic modern woman. How many people really marry the first person they fall for?
S1 hints in the episode of her happy moments and her wedding picture, but doesn’t show the guy, hints she will…
I loved S1! I thought it was a fantastic portrayal of modern dating. I think the key to this drama is the realisation Yumi comes to at the end of Season 1, she spent all this time looking for a leading man to focus all her happiness on, but she is actually the leading lady of her life.
From what I have heard about this story, she has a few relationships, I don't think she ends up with Yoo Babi either. :-)
the filming is now finished i think and it seems like there won't be a third season, which means no soonrok :(
From what I have heard, it is a longer story. Season 2 is not the end, so they will probably decide about Season 3 depending on how Season 2 performs... But I think Season 1 was a hit..!
I can see why the alcohol plot is important, it’s the key way for the FL to make a living. But it’s kinda…
I don't think he is addicted, I think he just can't stand the pressure of the palace and being crown prince. He wants to be free, have some drinks and have fun.
Plus, I feel bad for Ning Yi because her brother totally framed him and he was never cleared of that guilt in her eyes.
