Yang Zi's young Jinmi is legit hilarious. She is the exception to my dislike of adult actresses acting like children. It's her mischievous laugh "he... he... he...." when she's up to no good. Gets me every time!

This was actually good made more so by the lead female being different from the usual annoying tropes and she…
You've just sold me on it. i hate the childish voices so many of the female characters in wuxia do. It's so silly and infantilizes women.

Yes. Do you have a sister? If you do, you should understand sisterly bonds, especially when they are twins. I…
As I remember it, when the twins were being born the second twin (Xuanji) wouldn't come out and then seemed to be still born. As it turned out, her Goddess form spirit was delayed at the gates by a demon attack and she fell into the water beside and the supervising God used magic to quickly send all of the spirits through the portal to their heavenly tribulations in the mortal realm. So, her mortal newborn body was born without a spirit, she jumped in later and the baby started crying as they were burying her body.

Linglong explains this and says theyre not really twins just because they weren't born on the same day. She said Xuanji was lazy and couldn't be bothered to start breathing right away.

As for their appearances, well, they could be fraternal twins (2 eggs) so they wouldn't be identical.

Hope that clears things up!

It was mainly because of content. But the good news is the remaining 12 episodes is going to be aired soon.
Oh really? Why is that? What has changed?

Was the ending censored because of the number of episodes or the content? If the latter, how come?

I left the last few episodes because the subtitles took so long to be added. Now I've finally dived back in and honestly, these subtitles only translate 2 words in a whole sentence. Is there anywhere I can watch this where the subtitles are up to standard? Thanks!

As a Chinese, never have I watched a c-drama which requires me to depend on the subtitles as much as this drama…
Speaking of subtitles... The English subtitles for this drama are the worst and the laziest I've ever seen. When something is being recited, it often said something like "poem" or nothing at all.

I find that Yun Mu Yang is the most annoying character in the whole drama!
For me it's the Yun Mu Yang and Xian Yin love scenes. So blah. I never skip parts in dramas, but some of those scenes dragged on and on.

When it first aired, it got stopped halfway due to censorship crackdown. It took more than 6 months for the rest…
What was the censorship-related issue?

It's not a bad drama, but the lighting is just atrocious. It seems a lot of Korean dramas have bad lighting. It really bugs me. Chinese dramas have a better look overall.
