Just finished it. I can confirm this. It has such a good premise and I kept waiting for it to take off, but it never did. It had potential, but flopped and never picked up and just got more and more tedious.
I am watching it now. I keep waiting for it to get more dramatic and interesting. Some plot twists!!! Like if…
I just finished it. It was so... bland. I never skip scenes and with this one I was skipping away just to get to the end. My story version would have been better lol. I did watch Love and Redemption. It was good story, but I would have preferred a different cast myself. For me, it was just too "fake childish" for too long. I can't stand when you have adult actors pretending to be children, but in a completely unnatural way. But I did like the premise and the story and the nice story arcs, similar to the Three Miles of Peach blossom structure.
I've been really disappointed by the C-dramas this year, I have to admit.

Haha! Thanks. I could write these dramas, I have seen so many. But, i generally watch Chinese ones. I dipped into a couple of Korean ones recently because I'm waiting for some Chinese dramas to finish airing and Bride of Habaek was on Netflix.
It has an interesting premise, it just doesn't fulfill its potential.
I really wanted to like this drama especially since Nam Joo Hyuk was in it. Throughout the drama, he was either…
I am watching it now. I keep waiting for it to get more dramatic and interesting. Some plot twists!!! Like if she turns out to be a goddess or demigoddess with hidden powers and her father is a god and comes back and turns out she wasn't a divine servant afterall... then there are some policy changes regarding god and mortals having children to modernise the heavenly realm. None of that happens, eh? I can imagine this awesome scene of her powers awakening etc.
yeah it's really high quality drama. i give it 10 out of 10. i just don't know why some people prefer chinese…
I avoided this drama for a long time because of the ratings. Ratings on here are hard to trust sometimes. You get dramas like Rise of the Phoenixes, which is an absolute masterpiece, with only a moderate score. I think a lot of people like lower quality dramas and don't "get" higher-end ones or find them "boring"/confusing.
Can't wait to see Zhou Yi Wei in a main role. Loved his "wolf dance" in Tribes and Empires - in Episode 26.
He was epic in Tribes and Empires. Have you seen him in The Longest Day in Chang'an? It's also a masterpiece. and he really played his role so well. Really very impressive actor.
80 episodes? I thought they changed the rules about the number of episodes a drama could have? I'm so excited for this drama. Does anyone have any more info on when it is going to air?
Zhou Yi Wei is in this and in a MAIN role!! We really don't see enough of him these days!
I was literally just thinking this! I was so impressed by his performance in The Longest Day in Chang'an, and Tribes and Empires. He is real ML material.
I got to episode 4 and couldn't take it anymore. Silly bimbo like FL who keeps throwing tantrums. Constantly screaming and shouting and doing stupid things. Sigh... Unless there is significant character growth, I won't bother continuing.
