This is a great drama that could have been so much better with some changes. They went too far with the abusive relationship. Romanticising abuse isn't nice. Also, Li Qin's character should have been more mature, less silly. Her character seemed stilted and lacked sufficient evolution.

I agree. When she was Acting Feudal Lord, she seemed to be mature, wise and cunning, but then she just got sillier, more stupid and immature every day. Expected more of Li Qin after her performance in Song of Glory. But it is usually the director rather than the actor who is at fault... It may have been what the director wanted. ?‍♀️

I hear you! I get headaches from the fluffy kiddo actors and actresses. I can think of several dramas that would be infinitely improved by a slightly more mature cast...

Has anyone noticed there are some real actor lookalikes out there... They should get sibling roles at some point! I kept thinking Li Guang Jie (General Xi) looked a lot like Chang Cheng in this drama!

I have. Great story, but for me the cast was a bit young and it was a bit childish for quite a while., but still a great story, very passionate and some cool twists!

How sad... I hate when my expectations are dashed. This had so much potential!

I forgot to bring this up while i was watching this drama, but why do we never see the King? So weird. Almost like it was cut out of the drama?

C-Drama community. I am starved of good quality C-dramas (I have watched a lot)... Please help me find a new one. The ones I was looking forward this year to turned out to be flops.
No fluffy dramas with childish, silly FLs, I beg you...

I sincerely recommend you stop on the episode before the last. Tell yourself that is the ending, because it's a great ending (would have been a great ending). The last episode gets weird and confusing and totally changed the way I felt about the drama.

Don't be impatient, haha! The joy of this drama is the twisty plot...! :D
