It's not just censorship though, it's the drama makers story telling skills through scene progression. These thinģs set the pace and that has a huge impact on dramas, but so often, they waste endless episodes on pointless subplots and then rush an ending because they've run out of screen time. Or they miss out scenes that explain certain aspects of the story. Some dramas are just really poorly put together, and I mean the actual footage.

I've noticed in C drama land that there are often dramas with very similar themes released in the same time frame. Like last year for example it was mermaids and under the sea. Novoland Pearl Eclipse, The Blue Whisper and Mirror Twin Cities all aired right after one another.

Makes me wonder whether the companies are just copying each other or whether there's an agreed upon seasonal theme. 🤣

There have been so many dramas massacred by bad editing in the last 2 years. Tragic for the hard work of everyone else involved to have their hard work squandered at the last step.

I agree. Even though the King has a poker face and we don't see his perspective, it seems clear he is giving his son some tough love to make him strong and resilient enough to take the throne and not be a puppet. The King has to be the master schemer and create balance in the court.

It's 20 episodes and there are reasons they can't openly be together or even confess at this time. Be patient. In the last episode, it was clear it was getting started after he bought her that bracelet.
