The sole error the director made here was wasting some scenes on the "lovestory" btw NL and Tian.
Hmm, I don't know, I think it made her choice to leave MRF more understandable. If I was going to criticise something, I'd say the scenes of the villains are too long and slow with too much fawning, I often skip them. I am very impressed by Qin Jun Jie's performance! Even though I knew he was playing the father and son role, I was so impressed by how different he seemed in both roles. I couldn't quite believe my eyes when I saw him as the son, my mind couldn't accept that they were the same actor!
High quality wuxia! Well worth watching! If you like cheesy romance, cliches and a fast pace, this is not the drama for you. The fight scenes are epic, but there is a stillness and authenticity about this drama. The vibe is very unique. It's about the journey and the people you meet along the way.
It's still hard for me to believe this show has so few watchers. I think it's an awesome series.
Yeah, I'm seriously impressed by the quality of this wuxia! They are often a bit cheap and cheesy, but this one has class and I like that it takes time for quiet moments, there's a real meditative vibe about it.
This drama is possibly the stupidest, most ridiculous drama I've ever watched. Sometimes it's so bad it somehow becomes good. For such a silly drama however, even 36 episodes is too long. However, it sets a precedent for a non-typical female lead, which I hope will result in higher quality dramas also attracting more variety of body types.
