IIRC, their fathers are bio brothers. 2ML's dad was probably the older brother, he was the king before the current one, and Left Minister killed him to bring the current king puppet to the throne . There is one more queen and young crown prince. I think Left Min also killed previous king's wife, the Queen then, and a small crown prince and deposed 2ML - I am not sure about this though. I am stil not sure why he didnt kill 2ML
So back then, Left Min eradicated previous king's family and put the current king on the throne as a puppet, under that special contract. Then Left Min proceeded to kill current king's wife aka queen and also "killed" wife of ML, aka crown princess. He spared the king to be his puppet, and he spared ML as a mating bull for his daughter, to produce the next king that he can control too.
