Da Rim - and anyone - always has choices. If her university is so bad, then make it good somehow. An amazing project, entering a competition, getting a side degree or certificate from another university are some choices if Da Rim wants jobs that require a good university.
Another choice is going for jobs where her university is valued

These are all choices for Da Rim.
She made a choice to lie to get into a kind of job that requires good education. OK that is how she started. At the start of any drama, characters are flawed, by default.
But how this continues is TOXIC. Da Rim *STAYS STUCK IN HER FAULTS*

Da Rim keeps making bad choices out of the same unhealthy patterns. It is her choice to lie and keep lying even when she has a chance to fess up.

Da Rim stays stagnant, keeps lying and hiding. There is no chink in her armor of lies and sticking to "safety" by lying. She and SU have the same emotional pattern of clinging to safety by lying and hiding.

This is how Da Rim is by the script, kept in stagnation and oblivion for over 75% of the show. She is the same insecure liar Da Rim as in ep 1.

To me, that is WEIRD.. SAD.. TOXIC... WASTEFUL... . Staying the same old same for so long. It is a waste of time. It makes the drama boring and meaningless. TOXIC.

Character growth is not about becoming "a good person" but becoming the best version of yourself.
So even a very mature and kind person has plenty of room for character growth.
So you can just imagine how much room for growth is there for the FL the chronic liar and loser... or for SU clinging... or for ML mating bull without brains.... and so on.
FL and SU are the ones with least maturity and with the most issues to be resolved. FL has to stop lying.

ML and esp FL need a HUGE character growth. He is about 12 and she is about 3 yrs old.

And yeah this audience cannot see it .... does not care about it... and even - does not want it.

I thank you all for exposing sexism, self lies, and inner fragility and weakness. It is what it is and it is all well documented here. It is obvious why the world is a messed up place. Nobody hates you or blames you. It is just a waste, to waste time like that.

Also, seeing how many people delude themselves that you can "protect" someone by lying non-stop even when it is not needed - just shows your own lack of courage and your own weakness. Esp when a woman does it. It is kinda societal norm that women can do that....

It is just a combo of immaturity, blindness, inner weakness, and plain lack of intelligence. It is unfortunate that rom-coms will be written for that kind of audience. It would be fun to watch a "smart" rom com, not something that requires turning the brain off.

in her own, small, quirky way. Ms. Wi works hard to expose evil and corruption. That is her life calling. She is essentially a detective who exposes bad stuff. Also, Ms. Wi is an HONEST person with integrity. And, Ms. Wi is SMART AND COMPETENT.
To me. that is very commendable, respectable and likeable.

She is not perfect and will overcome her personal/social/romantic flaws. She does have quite few to fix, and she started to actively try to improve
