For me, 7.9 is still a good rating. Shows that are under 7 are shows I approach with caution. I’m gonna give this a try and binge over the weekend because of Yunxi (even though he likes roles that break our hearts after sending us on emotional roller coasters).

The ending is open-ended (open to interpretation), not necessarily bad; it’s more…hopeful…? I think that’s the best way to describe it. There are relationships that feel a bit incomplete., so I think they could have done a spin off to focus on other characters, or a special episode to give viewers that definitive ending they were looking for- for those who were dissatisfied with the last few minutes of the ending (enough to say it’s a “sad” or “bad” ending). It’s very much worth the watch.

Finally resuming and am on ep 7 where he and Wenshu are talking about timelines and futures… It’s hard to watch knowing that there’s a 🐻 in the future.

I’ll be waiting for your final summary first, I think 😊 I’m not really wanting to watch any traumas for a bit. I already know of one piece of 🥺…seemed unnecessary to me. Though I know the MLs have amazing chemistry together. I saw it in the first 5 episodes and in the edits.

This is what I’m waiting for before I begin. I’ve been lurking in the comments and on social media edits every week, just waiting for this to end before I start it.

There Krit goes again… He seriously gets on all my nerves. I just hear Mariah Carey’s ‘Why you so obsessed with me?!’ every time he opens his mouth about- or to- Rin. 🙄 I mean, they REALLY want us to root for the second couple and hope for their happiness or something, with how much screen time they give them. I couldn’t care less about them. PLEASE stop giving them so much screen time! These two people who think they are the center of Rin’s world. Likely because of their own guilt. Krit is an ass. Period. And Mochi is no better. I dislike these characters so much. I skipped their solo scenes (and moved at a fast speed through anything with them in it). Like, I couldn’t push the 10-sec skip fast enough!

I am NOT looking forward to their ‘redemption’ arc (you know, the usual- where they realize what asses they’ve been and they all apologize and hug or shake or whatever, and then they all smile and become besties again because forgiveness and friendship is love and love always wins… or whatever 🙄) PLEASE let me be wrong!

I wanted to give Khobfa a hug this episode. And throw a few punches.

After this week’s episode I have a new theory: Khobfa wasn’t cursed with bad luck at all. It’s a coincidence, but since Rin didn’t know him, he assumed his curse worked. (This reminds me of ‘Mr. Unlucky Has No Choice But To Kiss’.).

I’m wondering if mom will come back and set him straight because he didn’t even have his powers or whatever yet, or his Gransmother will. I really enjoy his interactions with this maternal figures and Rin, especially Grandma.

Right. I agree with you. They’ll likely make up parts of the story like they did for Takara’s Treasure. Half the scenes in that drama were not in the manga at all. I recently purchased an English print of that and…yeah… It’s definitely not the same.

There are more chapters to the manga. Chapters 1 and 2 take up to episode 3 (they’re both 32 pages each). I can see how they could make 10 episodes from the rest of the material I’m reading. Chapter 3 could easily be 2 episodes (it’s 42 pages), and Ch 3.5 could be 1-2 episodes (it’s 8 pages, but the content…). Chapter 4 is 42 pages, and 4.5 is 14 pages. It really depends on how they choose to divide the scenes into these 25 minute episodes.

Actually, I have NO idea how much they’ll censor or alter in some way Chapters 3-4.5…..… They’re…….explicit……. If they keep this pretty light, I also don’t see how they’ll make 10 episodes from these chapters.

Yeah…So I read the manga…

There are 4 chapters and 2- .5 chapters (3.5 and 4.5). From the latter part of Chapter 3 on, I’m not sure how they’ll represent the content, or if they intend to alter the story like they did for Takara’s Treasure. It’s…explicit, to say the least. Nonidea how they keep this pretty sanitized when half the story is, well, NOT!

That part 👆🏽(all of it). His face wrinkles when he crinkles his forehead or smiles- that works against him quite a bit. Nor sure what the casting directors see in him… Perhaps it’s the willingness to do a BL in the first place…? But I’m sure there are other actors who fit the look more appropriately. The uke in ‘Mr. Unlucky Has No Choice But to Kiss’ for example. He fits the look well.

It becomes predictable to an exhaustive extent. His character was like this in Takara’s Treasure, too. (A drama I love despite what I feel is a mid-cast in the uke). Though the seme was not outwardly affectionate, he still very clearly treated him differently and more preferentially than anyone else. The forced naivety from a person who looks older was a bit much for me at times. But he’s been paired with semes that are interesting enough to keep me watching. So far him and his friends keep me coming back every week.
