I’m glad others agree with me about the mis-cast. I felt this way when he was cast, and shared that in the comments forever ago. I also felt this way with him as the uke in Takara’s Treasure. They need to stop casting him as an uke in these young roles. He doesn’t look young. He looks older than the seme’s. Maybe an office worker uke would be better for him, as long as the seme looks older too. It’s the age difference appearance that makes it difficult for me. In this case, he is younger than the seme in real life (crazy, I know). Genetics.

Dear Japan, please stop casting him as a high schooler and college freshman. Viewers aren’t buying it.

No; I don’t keep a list of these- I’m not THAT organized in my viewing. I watch, review and comment. And then move on. I have a pretty extensive watch list.

I’d suggest trying it out on some dramas you may be interested in that show iQIYI as a platform that you currently don’t have access to. This particular drama is the only one that has been blocked from my usual route using iQIYI to watch- most dramas are also available on other platforms I subscribe to, making my need to VPN low- unless the other platforms have bad subtitles.

I subscribe to Viki, YouKu, Tencent, MangoTV, Netflix, Gaga, Amazon Prime TV, and Disney+. Rarely can I not watch a drama due to georestricting, but some kdramas, Thai-dramas, drama, and I believe Taiwanese dramas, have required a VPN to access over the years I’ve been watching. There’s a Korean BL I watched very recently (The Prosecutor’s Proposal) that I remember being georestricted on Gaga for my region- I had to use a VPN set to Thailand to watch it there, but it was available geo restriction free on Viki, so I ended up watching it on Viki because the back and forth with the VPN was unnecessary.

Often times, you need someone to share (or find on an internet search) a link to the first episode or landing page for iQIYI and turn on the VPN to see it. Again, it’s not that serious for me to watch this particular drama on iQIYI since I have YouKu.

So I never watched all the dramas that have been georestricted to certain countries, huh? 🙄 Are you new? People do it all the time with VPNs. I have done it on Gaga, iQIYI, Viki, and Tencent. What are you TALKING about🙄. How do you think those dramas banned from China get watched by those in China?

I use HotSpot Shield for iPhone. It has many different countries.

The number of streaming platforms I have just to keep up with all these dramas- the worst is MangoTV. Mostly because of the horrible Ai-generated subtitles. I want to watch Royal Betrothal but I KNOW those subtitles are gonna have me 🤔🤔🤔

Not a huge deal for me though since I also have Youku. I just sometimes prefer the iQIYI platform. 😊

I know. But internationals can usually see mainland China only dramas if you use a China VPN. I’ve usually been able to do so. I just close the app, turn on the VPN, and reopen- then it pops right up in a quick search.

I can’t find it. only iQiyi mainland China as far as I know. Though my China VPN still won’t show it…

It didn’t show up in a search when I had my China VPN on, like shows usually do when they’re geoblocked in the USA.

No. So far in the 🇺🇸 I have only found the landing page on YouKu. It also says iQIYI, but it doesn’t show up in searches (even with a 🇨🇳 VPN).

That part! I was like, frfr?! I expected very little of what happened! Those later episodes especially had me ALL in my feels trying to recover from the wtf moments- Episode 25 had me feeling ALL kinds of ways.

Now that I've completed it, I agree.

Now that I've completed this drama, I feel like I NEED to tell those who give up easy to just hold on through episode 25, then you'.ll likely have a change of heart. Also, there's a short after credits scene in episode 28. I'm glad I let it run through the credits while I absorbed all the production team put me through with this drama. Seriously.

I know this drama isn't for everyone, but I was very pleased with the acting of both MingHao and AiMi. And Riley had me feeling all kinds of ways. Bro put me THROUGH!

I enjoyed the cinematography and the dark versus light filming when necessary to help set this mood. I have no complaints, really, now that I've completed this.

No spoilers. Just watch it. 😊

I take back all my bad thoughts on good old Prince Qi. He played me well. I was as thoroughly fooled as the Northern spies...

I've finished episode 25...That episode was crazy! It also messed with my feelings, damn it! What a crazy whiplash ride. The AUDACITY! Well, now I HAVE to finish the rest of it after all that.
