Hmm how should I put this... I just completed this drama and I would say the only thing that made me stay on with this drama are the casts' good acting and overall good character styling. Really not so much of the story because it's really nothing new nor exceptional... For a low budget romance drama, I wouldn't recommend watching with too much logic because obviously people are watching it for all the artificial sweet moments and main leads' good looks.

What I don't really get it was the episodes towards ending where Prince Guang Ping joined hands with the crown prince of Yi Gu... Like everything just seems to be a child's play and overcame so easily when it's actually a rebellion that could get everyone killed... And why did the scriptwriters add so many unnecessary "comical" scenes for the Yi Gu crown prince when he is indeed a very sly yet careful person...

Agree with most of your comments there. However I wouldn't say that only Korean dramas go all out depicting political…
Hmm I would say Snowdrop got so much hate, a lot has to do with casting Jisoo for the role and scriptwriters... I don't want to comment to much since I never watched it, but it's very obvious to me that much of the negative emotions came from "hate" and over expectations of her.

Another problem would be the scriptwriters themselves knowing very well how sensitive the Koreans are towards the 1980s era of Korea. It was honestly a truly living hell for everyone during that time and any hints of depicting a real figure in the script would just make the Koreans explode in anger due to over romanticizing...

This Thai version really deserved the praise and it's really one of the best versions that I've seen! I really respect the production crew's effort and all the hard work to make the original manga version closer towards the Thai culture and their environment. This version definitely has the best mix of all the versions adapted, they really made good use of the iconic/significant scenes and removed the unnecessary ones.

At first, when I saw the casts I was honestly quite scared it will turned like the recent Chinese remake with only empty shell good looks but amateurish/bad acting... But this version really didn't disappoint me and in fact it has became one of the dramas I will rewatch again!

To be very honest, this version found the perfect actress as the FL. Her acting wasn't annoying at all and it's a very fortunate thing since this female character does has a lot of arguments and frustration scenes to deliver which the FL in the Korean and Chinese adaptation definitely failed to deliver the correct way of expressing emotions...

IF I really need to nitpick, I would say the plot for the fiancée part could have been better in terms of the process. To which my favourite version for this part is still the Korean one where the fiancee is very clear minded and didn't go all blinded by love like this version.

Overall, I urge everyone who are into the F4 story please watch because you won't regret it! Really the best and I'm not over exaggerating just cuz of good looks but because they really made the effort to make a good story and also a good closure for the ending!

Ohh no please don't misunderstand! What I meant was Korea has a lot more dramas that touches on sensitive topics not just political/corruptions. I mean I guess all this has a lot to do with Korea's broadcast regulations where they have freedom to depict social/political issues.

While I know Japan and some other western countries also touched on similar topics, you could see some of them are still very much restricted with what they can show...
On Military Prosecutor Doberman Apr 27, 2022
Great drama in terms of depths of story and characters' growth! I think it's like becoming trend in Korea to have antagonist-like leads which I like it, lesser on the pure good against pure bad kind of plot setup. Though it's quite a serious drama that touches a lot on sensitive topics like the corruption and power abuse within military, there are still quite a few comical moments that helped to wash away the heaviness of the plot.

What I really like about this drama is that they made a lot of effort depicting all characters' growth in a logical way as the story progressed to which I really felt sad for Noh Tae Nam towards the end after realizing he was actually all alone growing up. Nobody was there to teach him the right things nor was there any emotional support given to him when he needed it except for his only pet dog... At some moments his situation made me feel how great would it be if someone nice actually appears in his life to truly care for each other.

So what I didn't really like was the sudden background music whenever they had an important moment... Wish the sound effects could be more subtle to suit the serious ambience.

Though not much romance going on until like last episode, I really like the main leads' chemistry and their hidden feelings for each other~

But honestly I applaud for the drama's courage to speak so much about such topics which you may never see in another country's drama/movie production~ Guess only Korea really goes all out with depicting social issues and political corruption.

Totally agree with your review! I feel like the series could use a couple more episodes to smoothen things out…
Ya I thought so too if they could made it slightly longer and not rushed the important plots! But I guess it's a blessing in a way that us viewers don't have to go through the "drag" with too many episodes~ I'm really glad that I decided to give this version a chance as I felt so much emotions watching the FL, they really made it very sad for her that the two "friends" approached her with such hideous motive... If this were to happen to me, I would've really lose trust to anyone getting close in future...

Hmm finished this drama last month and decided to leave a comment on it. Overall it's a pretty good romance drama but I do feel it was a little draggy for the 2nd couples' pace like the guy kept backing off for no reason but just cuz of his own assumptions of the FL's friend...

One part that I felt quite forced was when the ML's mentor's daughter came to seek his help and tried to cling onto him so that they could live a "richer" life. In my mind I was like what the hell is wrong the scriptwriter! I mean not all romance drama need to always have this sort of bitchy character trying to snatch ML kind of dumb plot... If the mentor's daughters wanted a better live, I mean they would have done it way earlier and make sure no other girls can get close to to the ML instead waiting for such a coincidental timing.

I agree with what you have commented. Many people think it is a masterpiece, I think it is sweet but nothing powerful…
Though I'm really despise fans over-fantasizing such stuff but I mean doing fan service/bts are still part of the job for the actors whether they like it or not...

For me, I do think the 2 actors in Love with Flaws did a fantastic job playing the role of a gay couple. No kissing whatsoever but I could feel the feelings building up as the 2 guys come to know of each other's difficulties and fear of telling others they are gay.
On The Killer Is Also Romantic Apr 17, 2022
Small budget drama but it's packed all the natural and cute sweetness between the main couple and 2nd couple!!! They have really good chemistry together and story is definitely not draggy at all! Don't have to worry about having to see unnecessary misunderstandings or hate scenes in this drama because there just isn't any in this drama :) Please give these actors and small budget dramas support!

Is that the main lead?
Thanks for your replies! I really hope it will be a good one like you say because I'm really disappointed with his previous performances. Btw just a recommendation for you since its your first time seeing his works, I think you can try watching "Rush to the dead summer". Other than him being the ML and the FL didn't perform well, the overall story and side characters' acting were actually pretty nice.

Err epitome would honestly be too much of a stretch... I just hope he doesn't act the way he did in "Rush to the dead summer"... No hate on it, just my experience what his shows.

yup! Sorry I'm just used to their chinese names so I forgot, he's the ML cheney chen.

Can anyone tell how is Chen Xue Dong's acting here??? I'm so frustrated with his forever emotionless facial expressions and stiff acting in many dramas and movies... I really want to watch this drama but am procrastinating for very long if I should give it a go.
On Dine with Love Apr 10, 2022
Just completed the drama and my thoughts are this story is so soothing! Though characters' plot are nothing new but you can expect your mouth drooling over those delicious dishes shown in every episode!!!

I loved it because this time there isn't an annoying FL best friend character! The best friend can be very hasty with her own decisions/issues but she is always there when the FL needed comfort and it's someone whom I hope I could meet in real life :)

Overall I want to highlight the casts' chemistry and main couple's being so cute and steamy all the time~
On Business Proposal Apr 9, 2022
Really enjoyed this drama! It's so funny and the casts are full of chemistry!!! Just a side note but I really want shine a light for the actor acting Gye Bin! He's really a versatile actor seeing him in a real bad and arrogant character in one drama and a totally bubbly character in this one!
On Semantic Error Apr 7, 2022
Short but SWEET! Obviously there are quite a few moments that didn't make sense/unrealistic, but really enjoyed their interaction! I'm so thankful Jang Jaeyong's friends aren't just some cliche characters and indeed the trio had quite the chemistry~

I must praise the casting director knowing how to pair the couple XD They look so cute together even with their height difference! Though I feel a lot of BL dramas and this drama as well over romanticized the situation of actual lesbians/gays, I'm still quite glad that people are slowly accepting people with same gender relationship.

Seeing more and more BL dramas/movies being produced, I really applaud for all the actors' courage and professionalism because many of them are honestly just straight guys and it does take a lot of mental endurance to act out intimate scenes and all...
On Business Proposal Apr 7, 2022
I really enjoyed the entire drama but really hope they could make it longer like at least 14~15 episodes... So much of the plot wasn't explained especially the background of the characters!
On Brilliant Class 8 Mar 31, 2022
hmmm... I'm feeling quite scared how this drama will turn out actually... Not because of the story plot but Chen Xue Dong's failed acting! Really worried if history will repeat itself again with his forever stiff facial expressions and I really want roll eyes on it already! It's really a waste of a rather talented casts if he is going to do the same shit again seeing there are Zhang Jia Ning, Zhang Li and Wang Rui Chang to support the drama...
On Under the Skin Mar 27, 2022
What I really liked about this drama is that every actor here acted very naturally and professional in their roles. The leads as well didn't do too much out of character, just nice for Shen Yi's slightly oddball yet mysterious personality pairing with Du Cheng's initial headstrong character. I'm really thankful this drama didn't portray criminals like they are psychopaths like some recent dramas of the same genre. I really appreciate that the scriptwriter kept criminals' behavior and motives realistic and logical which many dramas really lacked these days...

So for some parts I really didn't like is how they lack some realistic details when inspecting the crime sites... Such as the need for wearing gloves yet no SHOE COVERS when entering the victims' place... I was like "huh? seriously surely they must be kidding right..." A lot of the times, both the leads also didn't wear masks nor gloves when handling the dead bodies when the forensic was wearing it... I mean I kinda got distracted while being engrossed in the episode.

But overall this drama is one of the really good crime suspense production as compared to many released recently! Not mentioned I had quite a crushed on Shen Yi's charm that makes people open up to him and the desire to friends with such person XD Tan Jian Ci is really a rare actor that portrays his characters so well that made it charming and unique for every characters given the fact that he wasn't even professionally trained!
