It's funny how I agree with all the things you said even though I rated it 9.5. I feel instead of adapting the whole novel, they could have just maybe fleshed out some arcs. Like the last jail one was unnecessary and even if they wanted it to happen they could have initiated it sooner. In the novel, I liked the parts after he comes out from jail and then his family accepting Weiwei.

Why center your plot around such an interesting concept to barely use it at all? What’s the point?
>>> THIS. I mean it didn't bother me but YES WHYYYY!! I kept waiting till half way to see more of the fantasy plot but then just settled they gonna lean more on current timeline. Out of sight, out of mine. Lmao

Thoughts on random scenes from ep 22 - (Spoilers ahead)

🥰 Lmao, the way Xiao Shuai just pushed Chi Cheng aside and hugged Weiwei was adorable. Both Chi Cheng and Cheng Yu had that “what can we do… let them be” expression. Total long-lost-friends vibes, and I loved it. 🤣

✨ The small ways Chi Cheng cares for Weiwei like shielding him from the sun to paying attention to tiny details were so heartwarming. And it’s even better that Weiwei is now acknowledging those moments. 🥰

😵‍💫 At this point, I know Chi Cheng and Weiwei are made for each other. Lmao, the way they start bothering their best friend as soon as their partner leaves is hilarious. 😂😂And I feel bad for second couple. Lmao.

But then you see Weiwei can’t even sleep without Chi Cheng, proof of how much he has grown attached to him. That little home they have built might have started on deceit, but now it’s truly a home where small things matter… like doing laundry and remembering to dry it. :))

👨‍👦 The conversation between Dad and Chi Cheng...hmmm i don’t blame the Dad. I mean rome wasn’t built in a day and it’s natural for him to take time to accept things. Again not justifying the kidnapping thing lmao but I feel the way they bonded after that was cute. But I have a feeling he will come around soon, even with the tax incident. This arc shows it’s not just Chi Cheng caring for Weiwei, but Weiwei showing he can care and stand by him too.

🏡 The whole bed scene was just ❤️❤️❤️❤️. I love how they know each other’s insecurities so well. Weiwei finally admitting and showing his feelings must have been so comforting for both of them (and for me too, lmao).

👧🏻 Chi Cheng visiting Weiwei with his nephew was absolutely heartwarming. He knew Weiwei was feeling left out and found a way to make it better. The whole interaction was pure cuteness. 🥰🥰

📋 As for the tax issue, I have read the novel, so I knew it was coming. But I see it as just it’s a plot device to show Chi Cheng’s parents that Weiwei is a capable partner too, someone Chi Cheng can truly depend on.

Honestly, I could gush about them all day, but at this point, I would just sound like a broken record. 🤣 Somebody needs to study how much I can go on yapping 😂
Also, can’t believe we only have two more days left… 💔

FIYS is a very good drama. I loved it! 🥰

Even though I rated this a 7 i think, I exactly feel the same way. I found FL's character a bit inconsistent.
Plus the 40 episode was a bit too much if you ask me. This could have been told in 20-23 eps. (max)

To be honest, I came for Xu Kai and stayed for him! 😂

Weiwei’s influence is highly contagious 😂

👬Chi Cheng and Chengyu are such dorks. Constantly bickering and manhandling each other, yet all soft with their partners. Honestly, I loved this newfound friendship zone.
(Lmao, for a second I thought they would make a cute couple… then Weiwei’s crying face popped into my head and ruined the whole fantasy 😂)

🐍 Weiwei finally won the silent Custody battle. Lmao little jealousy is finally home ✨

🙏🏻 The funeral scene... Well they skipped translation of what was written on flowers but I my homework... It took me a while to figure out why Wang Shuo freaked out. I think he realised Chi cheng has not only accepted Weiwei has his boyfriend but family. :))

All in all, I had so much fun! I enjoyed both the eps. 🔥 As much as I am glad we have episodes daily, I will miss these them 😭

Am I ready for today's angst? No 😭😭
