I will admit, a part of me always wants to give every drama at least a 5, not necessarily for the final product but out of respect for the sheer amount of work behind the scenes. It takes a village to pull off a production and that benchmark of 5 is to respect that. (Lmao totally subjective thing)
But I do see your point about using the full rating scale fairly. I try to keep my reviews as objective as possible even if the final rating ends up feeling a bit high or low.

The problem with this was they wanted to be everything. They wanted to be dramatic with the whole kingdom that can't be located on the map to wanting to portray the real life protest situation in TH.

I have not read the novel but they should have just stuck to fictional world where they could actually do justice to atleast one character! Anyways...

I haven’t read the novel and honestly from a standalone perspective, it just kept going downhill. Every week, I waited for things to pick up or at least start making sense… but somehow it went from meh to bad to whatever that final stretch was that almost cured my NDD. Almost.

I gave it a 4.5 and this is coming from someone who rarely rate dramas below a 5. So yeah... that says a lot. Sigh.
