Yet for these highly important 2 characters REQUIRING ACTING SKILL they cast TWO ROOKIES 😱😓. One is an idol who is making her drama DEBUT with this the other is nobody noone's heard of....😡
The rookie actor Lee Si Woo's char last name is Seo lile the other Family members of here with Seo surname, so I assume he plays Aron. As for Twice Dahyun I'm not actually sure if she plays Aron's FL Jenny, the character description of Dance Chearleader is more like their foil 2nd Female Lead /Aron's current Chearleader girlfriend who at the start gets in the way of the love story with his female BFF. But they announced Dahyun first??? Also the korean name for her char kind of sounds like the name Jenny? Maybe they combined the the girls into 1 char??
Note that the Australian Remake of Love Me(2021), they stayed true to the original swedish Äska Mig (2019)Ship of Aron & Jenny : I just watched some clips of them, they're just as cute as the original ship, and no weird combo char of Jenny and Elsa.

The BFFs to Lovers between Aron & Jenny was GOLDEN in the original, and Elsa a foil of childish unrealistic love, in contrast to the mature love of Aron & Jenny about truly being there for each other trough thick and thin made the show. One was an impulsive popular bad girl (Elsa) who I recall cheated in him, the other one a more down to earth kind of nerdy/indie style but beautiful & cool personality bff. A combo character would ruin that.
They did a good job casting the other 2 ships. I don't mind the switch from Im Soo Jung to Seo Hyun Jin - both are great actress as suitable as FL for main main role. Also the other 2 ships are marked as MAIN LEAD here on MDL, so maybe KDH and LSW will play other roles?? OR they demoted the Aron & Jenny ship to Supporting ship only, and unlike their ship in the originl series, they won't get as much screen time as the other 2 ships, that's why their fine with casting rookies?????😔😔

I really liked CR in Daily Dose of Sunshine, he even cause me a 3rd lead syndrome lol. 😅 So this is like finally a Lead ML role for him in romance too! (although this jas 3 great lead pairs) Although unexpected and not sure how suited to the role, I like the idea of him with Im Soo Jung, cute pairing! 😍 Also, since I've only seen him in 1 role, hard to judge his suitability, but he has good acting skill + likability based on that 1 role.
The ML in the original is a fascinating combo of Emotionallly intense mysterious in hot way (especually the gaze )type yet also very playful and cute. Let's hope he can pull that off, though I believe he can even though the first actor that comes to mind is KNG with intense eye acting vibes +playful. I hope the PD of this kdrama remake understands to direct the ML character correctly, that they don't remove his intensity nor playfullness; so he can be just as charming as the ML in the swedish original. 🥰
Also while other melodrama tropes are always working towards a goal (revenge, get togetehr with forbidden love, plot to take over company, make someone jealous, be better than person they envy, plot to gain something etc.), there's NOTHING for the characters to gain and work towards in Terminal Ilness (unless they pull an unrealistic recovery - also a bad trope) : which makes for a HIGHLY UNFILLING WATCH. Even melo majkang requires positive GOALS and not JUST DEPRESSION that is TI plot. 🤮🤦♀️
