Kim Nam Gil, Go Soo, So Ji Sub, Choi Jin Hyuk, T.O.P or Ji Chang Wook as Im Soo Jung's love interest please!
I take it back now after watching the Swedish version. Only Kim Nam Gil in this list is suited to the role here.

Wait he's playing her father? He's 6 years older lol
Despite his age, he IS suitable for the role! As a fan of the actor Johan Ulveson (who plays the father in the sweish original) for some years now, and fan of Joo Jae Myung since Vincenzo I can confidently say that their vibes and acting styles are similar.

And speaking of NOT SUITABLE for the role, if you wtach the swedish original, the role Joo Jae Myung really isn't suited for is the love interest character for Im Soo Jung. The character is very vibrant and playful, does that sound suitable to this actor?!? lol

I won't be surprised if they even cast someone slightly younger than Im Soo Jung for the role lol like Jang Keun Suk would suit the role/character really well. If similar age, Kim Nam Gil would be a perfect as the mischevious yet slightly brooding love interest, cause he really has that similar duality vibes like the character.

Wait he's playing her father? He's 6 years older lol
Im Soo Jung looks a decade younger than her actual age, and he already convincibly played a father figure/mentor to Kim Nam Gil (who is in his 40s too) in Song of the Bandits, so I'm not worried. All they have to do is give him the more rugged look with make up like in SoTB and he'll deliver again.

More importantly he gives very similar vibes to Johan Ulveson (actor who plays the father in the swedish original), and doesn't even suit the love interest role for IMJ's character, so this casting is so right actually!

I am kind of taken aback with this line in the premise: "It will showcase the growth of a woman who has nothing…
btw I can see Kim Jae Kyung in your profile pic, she'd suit the love interest role of the 18 year old son of the family here. šŸ¤” I could really see her or Kim Tae Ri in the role.
Maybe Lee Jae Wook as the 18 year old son role. šŸ¤”
Unless of course they want to cast younger actors there.

Just speculating while waiting for full cast announcement!

The answer is LOVE. She has everything but not a relationship at age 38, money, close-knit family, career, a house, success.... but not love, until her love interest enters the series that is. šŸ˜. (I watched the swedish original just now), I think that's what this decsription meant to say. šŸ˜‚

Love the swedish one!! Looking forward to this.
Also watched it. Who would you cast as Peter, Im Soo Jung's love interest character?

Kim Nam Gil instantly came to my mind. Suitable to play the micheviois but also kind of mysterious/slightly intense vibes. I can just imagine him playfully approcahi g Im Soo Jung in the candy shop lol
He seems made for this role omg!

Or at least if not him then

Right?!?

I made a long list of actors I'd lile to see act with Im Soo Jung, but now that I've watched the Swedish original, only Namgil of that list gave the right vibes and suitable as Peter.

I hope the casting department realizes this, I mean they already did a bang job in casting Joo Jae Myung in Johan Ulveson/the father role! Those two have the same vibes right?!

I watched the swedish original.

Piecing things together...
"Yoo Jae Myung will play the role of Seo Jin Ho, a man who is unhappy after his wife died due to an unexpected accident. "

That is literary the FATHER role in the series.

It might sound odd, but the casting director did a really FANTASTIC job here šŸ‘šŸ‘, Joo Jae Myung really does give extremely similar vibes to the actor in the swedish version like WOW, (they even have similar acting style), despite his younger age lol, so I don't blame them for this casting. It would be wrong to cast him as love interest role for Im Soo Jung when he's so simialar to the father role lol.

....He's done it before even, just recently played a mentor/father figure to Kim Nam Gil in Song of the Bandits, despite being just a few years older lol. He can do it again easily.

Speaking of Kim Nam Gil, he'd actually make. agreat korean Peter (the love interest for Im Soo Jing's character)! The right vibes are there, beside his great acting. Peter is a playful michevious character who also has bit of mysterious aura too, I don't think there's a more suitable actor in korea who can play that!

Looking forward to the full cast acvouncement!

Right? šŸ¤”
Anyway can they hurry up & announce the full cast!

The tone of the original is quite melo and slice of life, and RELIES ALOT ON GREAT ACTING. They cannot cast just anybody/ a pretty face, but all 6 actors of the 3 pairings must be able to act very well and naturally.

Im Soo Jung's character's love interest will definitely be a hard role, the actor must be able to both give a very deep intense, vulnerable and mysterious aura but also be very playful. I don't think most k actors can pull of the role fully to be honest, they either don't have the right vibe suited or the acting skill.

Kim Nam Gil, Jang Keun Suk or Hwang Hee would be a PERFECT 10/10 fit for the role, with both the right vibe & skill (Yoon sang Hyun maybe too old?), and all 3 look good next to Im Soo Jung too. šŸ˜

Felt like a cheap gimmick to just make a dramatic ending just because. šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸ˜“

I don't accept at all that the last 2 min happened. Show ended just before.
