They should've made it 12 episodes with 1 hour duration each
Nah it's much easier to watch and digest shorter episodes. I'm for one going to watch this just because of the ep length being short, tired of 1h 20 min eps lmao π
(guess they're going with sitcom format, romcom 30 min, I love that!)
I liked how it had honest real characters, and not the sugarcoated characters kdramas always have. The drama itself was boring though. Could've done with much better writing and more eps to support this writing.
so underrated! this site is run by kids i'm afraid
I often think how we need a website for older people, MDL for a more mature audience. Less childish hate comments, less unfair rating of low rating to good dramas and less high ratings to cringe romcoms π€¦π»ββοΈπ
lol she's playing the role of a serial killer here
Well that doesn't prevent a ship from forming, pair her with a just as evil male psychopath, they can commit crimes together in a. really disturbing but cute ( in a still disturbing way π )together ππ₯π₯

"nowhere says they have higher IQ though? the girl studied 17 hours a day, only had 7 hours to sleep and eat and do other things. " >>>> The description of this drama made both leads sound like geniuses? Is that not the case after all? Well then, that's good, they are indeed avoiding the Genius Mary Sue types and having them actually study hard.
"lets not belittle people's effort and think they were blessed from the heavens because i know many people who got into med school with quite an average intelligence." >>>> The issue wasn't getting into med school, the issue was genetic luck/genius, but since apparantly that wasn't the case here, no problem then. I'm not not belittling people working hard, I'm belittling who DON'T have to work hard for it.
Naturally super good looking/Genius/mega charm characters are so boring. Give me real people who don't have things handed to them by genetic luck and by no actions of their own. π

I think I wasn't clear with my explanation. I meant the fact that they were top performers SINCE YOUNG already top of class vs people taking longer and harder road. It doesn't mean that they are lazy people, just priviliged to being able to be needing to be less hardworking than people with less genetical luck. These characters are abit too much Mary Sue for my taste, I prefer more struggling characters. They are privileged with high IQ, the fact is everything comes much easier to them, naturally mental struggles will burden them more when older because they've had less when growing up than their lower IQ peers.
"Fun" fact, people who struggle financially also struggle mentally, so ontop of mental struggles that they share with high perfomers, there's ALSO the finacial burdens, leading to even more mental Struggles. People with always high performance since you cannot compare to those who Struggled more to make things work. (saying this is someoen who has been on both side sof struggling/not struggling financially and depression anxfiety experience. It's FAR more mentalky distressing to struggle financially, than having a good livelihood/not having to worry if you'll even get to stay alive and get food! vs any other mental struggle )
Watch the other dramas on your Plan To Watch list in the meantime or something, if you're like most MDListers…
I have many private lists categorized by Genre/Mood/Themes, all lists feature a favorite genre/theme, this way I always have lists of guranteed to be pretty good drama to watch.
For example Psychological/Healing + Romance dramas List,
Revenge Romance dramas list,
Business Romcoms categorized by most to least interesting jobs.
Historical Thai Lakorns.
Memory/Nostalgia/Death/Introspective dramas.
Winter/Autumn melancholic mood dramas with Good Directors usually creating good athmopsheres.
Action/Mystery + Romance dramas (many lakorns are in it)
Each drama on the lists MUST have a good cast too, to minimize risk of not enjoying drama. (or if on list, bad cast projects very down on list/low priority, but on list for interesting plot). Most interesting dramas highe r up the list. This way, the first dramas listed on each list gives always something interesting to watch according to your fave genre combinations/tropes & themes!
It's easy to make these lists after having wtached 200+ dramas like me, you'll know your exaxt taste & can predict what you'll enjoy.
Then a list of more High-Risk dramas, where plot sound interesting/good cast, but the genre isn't guaranteed to make you like it. Projects from these lists watched less, but on occasion for variation.
Essentially it's like your own Netflix recomemmdation algorithm by premade lists of "Most likely to be enjoyed by you, according to your taste & previous drama experience". I very much recommemd this type of highly-personalized listmaking, it might take a while to make a few reliable Prediction Lists, but so worth it!
Right now I'm busy with Han Ji Min dramas Hyde , Jekyll, Me - only a few eps to finish. Soon to start One Spring Night (she's really good at picking projects imo!),. Watching Winter Sonata, finishing Welcome to Samdalri and IRIS. All part of the Prediction Lists of likely good for my taste dramas, and all were good, except maybe IRIS, might drop it. 3/4 dramas predicted good where so. π I really recommend this method, of course, you really need to understand your asian drama taste, that' likely be separate from your movie/books/western tv series taste too.
He just lost weight but okay.... 'Happiness' has been shot just after his discharge from the military service,…
He looks much better and healthier when chubbier. I wish he (& many other asian actors worshipping anorexia-like thinness) WOULD GO BACK TO HEALTHIER CHUBBIER WEIGHT. It's more attractive too.
I don't know how pitiable two Dr characters who already are privileged with high academic performance & high IQ since young, top skill and career above most people, just going through a temporary slump (vs people actually struggling to make ends meet)
....so uncertain if I should watch this drama. π€
Do the characters come across a spoiled/high-privileged people who are not used to struggle, so immediately fall apart over smallest struggle?? Or are their concerns real concerns not easily overcome by people used to struggling??
ikr it's worrisome that there's no news and now she even has 2 other upcoming dramas too. Hope it doesn't mean this one cancelled... I quite like this pairing.
Loving this. Park Min Young in Healer is why I got into K-dramas; I still love watching her 10 years later. I…
I also got into kdramas thanks to Healer. ππ What a nostalgia trip to have both of PMY & JCW dramas doing so well now in 2024 exactly 10 years later! ha ha π
We understand that some fans of PMR are unhappy with the success of MMH and feel the need to express their dissatisfaction…
PMR is for teens (too young cast there), MMH is much better casting (& seems writing too? ) for the rest of us older people who dislike childish dramas.

Still drama is only like a 7, only finished it because it' s only 6 eps & because I like the actors.
Wen't form mid drama to lame. Still gave it a 7.5 rating though for the actors.
Then I will watch this. π
But anyway she will slay as villain π₯π₯

it's been so long I even forgot about this drama until today thanks to this reminder lol:

Still waiting for Graduation to air, had already totally forgotten about The Married Couple Is Jobless, is that drama still happening?
