FX is a difficult character to decipher with mere words. The trauma of seeing your own father first ditch you to die in a tsunami and then your own mother die in front you and having to be in the same room for a whole night till you are rescued isnāt normal trauma! On top of it after getting rescued he didnāt grow up with a parent or a family who tried to help. Instead he grew up amongst cruelty. His worldview since a very young age became twisted. And as they showed in the show not a single young master of the rich family have any shed of humanity or humility in them.
This doesnāt excuse his behaviour. But to understand why he did those things, you do have to take into account his surroundings.
Obsession and Love can both happen simultaneously. Sometimes one happens before the other which is the case with Fan Xiao and Shulang. Yes it is an obsession but within that obsession he felt loved and cared for. So he is definitely in love with Shulang. Growing up without love and living in a family where even his elder brothers marriage is falling apart, he definitely doesnāt know how to love someone. So he will probably continue being an obsessive freak.
Until and unless he let go of Shulang and his obsession, he cannot truly love Shulang. So we will see if he can do that or notā¦
A better lesson to learn is donāt keep clips of non consenting people in vulnerable sexual situations.
First of all you canāt control everyone and how they feel. Secondly in no way is the show making light of the dark situations that happened in the show. If some people still romanticise it or joke about it, itās not the shows problem.. Thirdly, this comment was clearly a JOKE!
