I am confused.. when does the author make it seem like it’s cute or romantic!? I am pretty sure the show will also not make it seem cute or romantic!? So is public opinion from a small section of people the problem for you or the way the story is told? Coz if it’s later, I hate to break it to you but the author does a terrific job of differentiating good from evil. Yes she gives a solid and interesting backstory to the villain with psychological trauma but at no point does she try to excuse his behaviour… so if you have a bone to pick with a certain section of the audience I am right there with you but as a novel this is a solid work of fiction regardless of how it ends…
