I already like JaeHyun but am not feeling Seung Jun. I think it's because he is rather blank as an actor. The guy he woke up with made more of an impact in much shorter screentime.
Or maybe 14 minutes is too little to get the feel of the characters. Let's see what we get today.
I didn't expect so much happiness in the last two episodes! Watching them sort out their relationship, and then being proper boyfriends.....being tentative but also confident, finding out new things about each other, reveling in the feeling of togetherness, finally being the youngsters they are......it was overwhelming in the best way!
This has to be the most complete romance I have seen in a long while. I believed everything about them, I felt everything they were going through. The only critique I can make is that the colour coding was a bit too much at times (this show didn't need such a heavy artistic hand). But that's a tiny issue and the show remains a 10/10. In the midst of all the fast food BLs, this one was a 5-course meal. Hope this team comes up with a new show ASAP β€οΈ
Net and James carried this one on their able shoulders. Such natural chemistry is rare and we are blessed to have this pair on our screens. Now look forward to their historical/time-travel romance. Hope we get it this year π€π»
Gun and Cher continue to be the cutest things ever. And somehow they make me feel their angst everytime they stop smiling. They both come across as really lonely people when they are not together, but once they are together they seem so complete and wholesome.
It's good Gun is not going to stand for Cher distancing himself. What they have is too precious to throw away just because some people may gossip. Go get your man Gun!!
I had seen spoilers that hinted that JaeWon is going to ignore JiHyun, and I was all set to hate him for it. But his suffering is so great that it's impossible to hate him. The way he was looking at JiHyun in the cafeteria was heartbreaking. It was like looking at JiHyun from a distance is all he can allow himself to do now.
JiHyun knows how much JaeWon cares and he ain't giving up. He has come into his own under JaeWon's gentle guardianship, and his new found confidence showed in the way he helped JaeWon during the disciplinary hearing as well as the confrontation with the bitchy ex. I hope he won't lose confidence after that talk with JaeWon and will keep trying to break down his walls.
I'm not ready to say bye to these two next week π
Came for Jeng, fell for Jarb. If Bible and Jeff had a baby together, he would look like this Jarb π That baby-faced boy opposite him is super cute too!
So, Jeng is hot and Pat is cute but I'm not feeling any chemistry between them as of now. But it's the first episode and things can develop gradually.
BTW, do all Thai office BLs have to compete with each other in having the most irritating bunch of co-workers complete with crass middle aged women? π Such a turn off!
Well...actually it was kinda complicated...there say they love each other but...cher or gun never say something…
My point is that they've had sex once and then have gone back to being platonic friends who cuddle to sleep fully clothed. That's doesn't seem right to me.
Well, because people don't have sex every night and because sleeping comfortably is a thing? Being together in…
Two young men in their prime in a new sexual relationship are just cuddling to sleep after having sex once? That too fully clothed? I guess that's believable to some people.
Gun walking into Cher's camera shirtless looking mighty pleased with himself, and then telling all the streamers on camera that he is waiting for Cher in bed.......π€£π€£π€£
But I'm a bit confused about the status of their relationship. Didn't they make love in the last episode? Why are they just sleeping side by side like bros now?
This show has become my weekly happy pill. So much so that I don't want to watch it in one sitting. Just watched the first part and am keeping the rest three parts for later in the week when I need a break from the daily stress π
Am officially a ForceBook fan now. It's not just their chemistry, the way their energies match is a rare thing β€οΈ
True, the kiss felt not comfortable, and all this hugs are cute but the dynamic is not passionate, more like a…
Agree. The minimum I expect from a BL is romance - with or without skinship. It's fine if they don't kiss as long as I can see romance and longing in their eyes. There's nothing here.
I think this is the first romance I have seen where the main leads look so uncomfortable with each other. If the camera angle kiss last week wasn't enough, they gave us the most tepid hugs today. Their body language makes it so obvious that both the actors feel icky showing any kind of physical affection. Gongchan isn't getting any better, and SeoWon looks lost playing off his bad acting.
The second couple is so much better but they get just 2-3 minutes of screentime every episode. What's the point of even having them?
Just finished the 7th episode and I'm in no mood to start the 8th. Regret not dropping this earlier.
Great episodes. I am loving it as much as everyone else. But I do have two teensy tiny critiques. First, I wish…
When one of the freshmen girls had called Jae Won 'Oppa' earlier, the club president had told her that in their club the title holders are called by their titles (or something formal). So when JW pointed out that JH called him Hyung (which is used for an older male you are close to) and JH tried to side step by saying that he should call him club vice president (or Sunbae), JW pulled him in for a kiss so as to say, "You can't get out of calling me Hyung". That's how I saw it.
I don't think it was gay panic on JW's part. I think he tried to be a responsible senior and not get involved with a freshman. But seeing JH around the campus affected him strongly. They met coincidentally in the train while JH was on the way to his date with AeRi (he stood her up when he saw JW looked disturbed). Once they started talking again, there was no going back.
JW ignoring JH after the sudden kiss made me both angry and relieved. I was sad for the confused little boy but also happy that JW didn't take advantage of JH's obvious crush on him (something I disliked in Love In The Air and Between Us). I'm glad he tried to keep his distance, and I'm glad he failed.
So JH set out for a date with AeRi and ran into JW on the train, so he stood her up? π€¨π Whenever these two are together, there is an ease in their interactions that comes when two people genuinely like each other as individuals (not just potential lovers). There is also mutual respect there - JW is playful with JH but doesn't patronize him. Being an introvert myself, I get what heady stuff this would be for JH. Add the intense attraction bubbling beneath the surface all the time........whew!! π₯΅ They both know they are going to end up in bed and soon. I want them to take their time, the anticipation is the real fun!
As for the bitchy ex, she showed today that she is too stupid to do any real harm. She is just the kind to out them without their permission, but she won't be able to affect their relationship.
I understand Park's hesitation. One, Tin is still a teenager and two, Tin is more or less an orphan and Park has been his unofficial guardian for a decade. Tin may have a massive crush on him now, but Park can't be sure he won't grow out of it in a couple of years. Even now Plearn's flirting is making Tin's heart flutter. If Park acts on their mutual attraction now and they break up in the future, both of them will lose their only family (since Park is also estranged from his father).
Kana came across as a really sorry figure today. Everyone knows he used to be a drug addict, his family life is sad, he is looked down upon even by the kids in the neighborhood, his future is bleak with no higher education, and he seems to have no job prospects other than sitting in his parent's little shop the whole day. Even though he hooked up with Pao in the last episode, there is no afterglow or hope on his face of a prospective relationship. It's like he knows that Pao is too good for him with his happy family and respectable job. So when he was depressed, he ran to Park and Tin instead of reaching out to Pao.
There is a good story and some interesting characters in there. If only the writing and direction weren't so wonky π€¦ββοΈ
Those weren't dead fist kisses, they were camera angle kisses. For those who don't understand, camera angle kisses are something Korean dramas used to do about 10 years ago - usually when the ML or the FL was a minor. It looks like a liplock but the lips don't actually touch. To think KBLs are using that trick on us in 2023 π€¬
Other than that, I'm enjoying the show. I still feel Gongchan is all wrong for this role but got to accept it. I love the second couple.

This show started really well and then lost its way after the mid point with too much sexual abuse and trauma which left a bad taste in the mouth. I understand that it was necessary but could have been handled better. Thankfully the last episode brought back the cute and the sexy, and we leave King and Uea on a sweet note π©·
