What was that ending?! Not just the ending, this episode on the whole was all over the place. Thi is still spineless AND clueless about his feelings? His parents had the audacity to go to Noey's house, accept his mother's hospitality, and then tell her off for not controlling her son?!
The last few episodes had been so much fun. The curse of the 11th episode again 😟
I'm going to ignore that the first two parts of this episode. Totally illogical and irritating. The saving grace - a Perth sighting! 😍
But then the wedding started and I was a puddle. How beautiful it was! The silent vows, the kisses, the smiles, the tears 🥲 Two people in love amidst family and friends who are genuinely happy for them. Isn't that what a wedding should be?💞
Of course the bouquet chose to fall in Diao's lap! I could hear thoughts being thunk in Yi's head 😄
And then the wedding night of the new husbands! I expected it to be explosive considering the build up since the first episode but it turned out to be so sweet and tender. It seemed like Lian was worshipping Kuea, no? 🫠 I'll take this over a heavy make out session anyday 😍
Kuea's performance and then the both of them in those Korean long winter coats 🤌🏻 They may still have issues to work through but we leave them with the belief that they adore each other too much to not fight for their relationship in the face of any adversity ✊🏻🥰
Palm and Neung sparkle together! The way Palm looks at Neung as if he is something edible and Neung looks back as if he is dying to be eaten. The way Palm's thick lips make Neung's lips disappear when they kiss 🔥🥵
But when they are not together on the screen the show drowns in plot holes the size of the moon. Even Perth and Chimon can't save it. I'm also frustrated by how much more could have been done with Palm-Neung too. These are two teenage boys on the run after seeing their respective parent being shot. Instead of having them behave like two boys on a seaside vacation, they could have been shown to be each other's anchor while dealing with the trauma and uncertainty. Their intimacy coming from a place of emotional connection would have been more impactful than just two teenage boys giving in to their mutual attraction. I didn't really like that Neung asked Palm to be his boyfriend only for the time they are living on the island.
Anyway, I know I will be back next week coz the chemistry between Palm and Neung is too good. But the rest of the show is being watched at 2x speed.
I was all set to grin like a fool watching this episode too. And that's how it was half the run time (giant yellow duck gave me Ai Long Nhai flashbacks 😊). Then the sudden turn towards angst came as a rude surprise. I particularly disliked Thi not trying to help Noey when he was getting beaten up.
But I guess this angst was necessary if Noey has to change for the better. In a way I'm glad his mother is the catalyst for this change, not Thi. Next week seems to be about Thi's parents showing disapproval of Thi's relationship with Noey. I hope Thi takes a stand for Noey. Till now Noey has been fighting for him, I would now like to see him fighting for Noey ✊🏻
This being 4-episodes long made me forget that this is basically a 'Special'. And Special Episodes are meant to be fluffy fanservice. Conflict? Ambition or marriage? Just dropped in there to make the eventual wedding look hard won and then said goodbye to. Well, I'm not complaining 😄
And boy, did they deliver on the fanservice! Lian and Yi had a moment (and what a moment 😛). Yi and Diao are still dancing around each other emotionally but can't keep away physically. Nuer and Syn had some exciting but painful lessons 😅
But at the end Zee announced loud and clear, "I will show you kids how to do it"! That man can turn up the heat with just a look! Can any actor in the world convey lust mixed with immense affection the way he can 🥵
Zee was heartbreakingly lovely this episode - a man who should be enjoying the happiest day of his life but is keenly aware that none of his friends except Yi turned up for his gay bachelor party the way Kuea's friends did. In the last scene he looked slightly drunk + very much in love but also very lonely, even with Kuea's in his arms. I felt a desperation in his lovemaking, of someone trying to hold on to a lover who can easily slip out of his hands.
This show! On one hand it is showing the relationship between a rich spoilt brat and his bodyguard quite well - Neung getting drunk and creating a scene, then not apologizing to Palm until he was ostracized at school, taking Palm's support after the shootout for granted, and continuing to talk down to him; while Palm forgives Neung immediately and takes care of him coz he is head over heels in love (Neung isn't there yet, he is still only in lust).
But on the other hand, the whole set up is so illogical that it keeps taking me out of the show. Even if we ignore that it is so easy for shooters to enter the house of one of the richest families in the country, how does it make sense that Palm's father arranged for him to take Neung away but not contact any police officer or politician who could protect them? Are we supposed to believe that a rich woman like Tanya has zero support system? The boys can't get info on their parents even from the other domestic help in the house? How are they so relaxed even after seeing their respective parent getting shot in front of them? And could they please let us know if Tanya survived!
Palm and Neung have loads of chemistry. Those looks they give each other are hot and all that leg doesn't hurt either. But I wish I could enjoy all that chemistry without having to roll my eyes every 2 minutes at that excuse of a plot 😒

About the ratings, I meant the Thailand television ratings. Unforgotten Night consistently got higher ratings on its television screening than KinnPorsche

Personally I loved both these shows for the cheesefests they were. A show is made for the audience's enjoyment, those who don't enjoy it can stop watching. Thank God Kuea didn't hide the Korean offer from Lian for too long! The episode was mostly filler but then Zee killed it at the end when Kuea told him about the offer. The way he looked away for a couple of seconds to let it sink in and then looked down and nodded 😯 So completely supportive while hiding his disappointment.....no one can do it like Zee ❤
Also, how did Hia Yi get so hot between the first season and now? He was my least favorite in the first season and I found him just awkward, but he is suddenly shining with overwhelming sex appeal this season! 😍
Noey is such a thug!! Such a romantic, ridiculous, rowdy thug! 😎🤠 How can Thi not fall for him? These two aren't even concerned that the whole camp is watching their flirting with varying degrees of embarrassment 🤣
I haven't laughed so much since Unforgotten Night! They just keep upping the adorable quotient each episode 🤗
No better way to put it, this was a failure on all levels - story, direction, acting, and everything else.
I watched till the end only for Denis and it helped that the episodes were just 12 minutes each. If we get a lot of good KBLs, we get a few bad ones too. It's fine, we wait for the next one 🤞🏻
They are so soft!! Those smiles, those gazes, the handholds, that head on the shoulder, that nervousness before making love, those kisses........they are SO SOFT!!! 😍😍😍
