I don't think the Editor has the guts to out two best-selling writers no matter how pissed he is. As the show…
He would lose the goodwill of two bestselling writers as well as become infamous in the writing industry as a traitor. That's exactly what happened to Jung Woo. Why would he want a similar fate for himself?
Okay, I never really found this show boring. I was actually intrigued the whole way through. It did get confusing…
I don't think the Editor has the guts to out two best-selling writers no matter how pissed he is. As the show told us repeatedly, the publising industry is brutal. Yes, he could float rumours but Jung Hyun knew that would happen when he outed that information himself to so many people.
I'm so happy my favourite Jung Hyun wasn't the villain. When it came to Jung Woo's well being, he put his reputation on the line. And so did Tae Young by letting Jung Woo go to Literature Square for his own good.
In the end Jung Woo had a lot of people to prop him up, and I would have liked to see him admit that he himself was the reason for his misery. Yes, Jung Hyun did try to keep him isolated from the world thinking that it is for his own good, but Jung Woo was an adult who could think for himself. He moved from Jung Hyun to Tae Young - another person who offered to do his thinking for him.
The way Jung Hyun gracefully bowed out once he understood that Jung Woo has moved on was β€ The way he let out the breath he was holding when the lady editor praised his work showed how suffocating it had been for him to live in the shadow of Jung Woo's writings. Both the writers were stuck in a limbo for 3 years and they needed to get away from each other to breath freely again. So in a way all three men got their Happy Ending. Though I'm not sure how healthy it is for the three of them to work and hang out together given their romantic history.
Leo made this show for me. I know nothing about him as an idol but as an actor he sold his conflicts to me with very little dialogue. Ha Jong Woo is a great find - the boy is a born star! I hope his next show puts his pillow lips to better use π Karam was the weak link for me. I wrote this after the first two episodes and it still stands - he seems too lightweight to be the object of affection of two charismatic men.
Lastly, thank you Show for not shying away from showing two shirtless men kissing in bed. Even though it was filmed in a way that their feelings didn't come through (You Make Me Dance did it better), but at least it was good to see a KBL acknowledge that's what two young men in love would do.
Lots of people wondering why the evil Mom wasn't shown at the end. I think that's because she doesn't matter. For this family she is like an annoying mosquito that comes buzzing every now and then, and is just swatted away. They showed us that Nhai is capable of dealing with her the next time she shows up and that's enough. Also, that resulted in Nhai and Jaonan bonding so fast π
As for the other couples, I feel they will have their own series. Ton and Chon have their own book anyway.
A sweet end to a sweet show. I just wish it was Ai who was sick instead of Nhai, it would have been nice to see Nhai take care of Ai for a change. But their relationship is what it is as shown in the shopping scene - Ai will help the toddler wear his shoes like the adoring mother he is π€·ββοΈ
Speaking of mothers, Jaonan's hospital fashion was as chic as his market fashion π
I also liked how the friend group was so much fun and all of them were strong characters in their own right. We got to see their love interests just enough to keep us interested in their own respective shows whenever they drop.
It's goodbye to these cuties who kept me smiling for 40 minutes every Monday π₯² Meen and Ping are the most stunning couple in Thai BL for me and I hope to see them together in another show soon β€οΈ
This was the best episode of the show till now. I liked the Win-Team scenes, the Tul-Waan scenes, the Bee-Prince scenes, the Dean-Win and Dean-Pharm and Santa-Win-Team and Win-Tul-Waan scenes! Not once did I wish to fast forward like the earlier episodes.
The best thing is that they are all talking to each other. Win is conflicted but instead of keeping it to himself, he is reaching out to his friends and brother. Everyone is asking everyone if they are doing okay, and that is giving the close-knit group feel that UWMA gave so effortlessly. Good to see Between Us also getting there. Better late than never!
The actor playing Waan looks so much like Yoon (of Unforgotten Night) especially his side profile. Also, Tul looks much older to Waan so it seems weird when he calls him Hia. But they are cute together. Even Bee and Prince have grown on me, especially Bee who has really good comic timing.
Thi continues to be a confused soul but then Noey keeps giving him confusing signals. Could be coz Noey is confused too - he does seem fascinated by Thi and wants to spend time with him even though he doesn't want to study at all.
This is the third time Noey fed him and watched as he ate. Noticing that Thi liked oranges the first time and getting him bagful the next time? That's not goon behavior Noey π Thi needs to sit down and ask himself if he is really scared of Noey or Noey's reputation. But that seems unlikely given that foggy brain of his.
thank you for confirming there is a bi character in the show. i'm so happy we are getting more bi characters in…
This is quite a raunchy show by Korean standards. But it's also cute and hilarious. It's available on Viki.
There has been quite a lot of Bi representation in Thai BLs lately. Bad Buddy, Love In The Air, Ai Long Nhai, KinnPorsche, Love Mechanics, I Will Knock You, are some that come to mind right away.
Seon Ho accepted his bisexuality pretty fast (but then his junior's reaction everytime he was close to Mu Yeoung was self explanatory) π Our man is already making plans for seducing Mu Yeoung - who seems to have got an inkling that his boss isn't straight.
Don't care for the best friend, the way he treats his fiancee is off-putting.
The way Tae Young pretended to snore breathing out from his lips! π And then forgot to snore when he felt Jung Woo close to him π«
I kept hoping Jung Hyun will show some redeeming quality but the revelation that he has been using his name on Jung Woo's writing made him irredeemable. He is no protector, he is just a shameless user. Jung Woo telling him "Let me live now" was a much deserved slap.
The almost kiss was frustrating but I couldn't help rewind to see the difference in the size of their lips π₯° Trust Koreans to make an almost kiss more heart fluttering than an actual one.
Jung Hyun trying to break down each one of Jung Woo's supporters is π€¬ This guy is going from grey to the blackest black in a matter of days. That he is fine with Jung Woo kneeling down in front of the man who destroyed his career makes me see red. This isn't a love triangle any longer and Jung Hyun is an out and out villain (unless he does something really unexpected like owning up publicly to using his name on Jung Woo's writings).
So Jaonan and Nhai bonded over their mutual dislike of Ai's mother π When it really counts Nhai can be surprisingly mature. Which makes me think that he deliberately tries to be a baby with Ai coz he enjoys being mothered by him.
Nothing else happened in this episode and I'm perfectly fine with that. Just watching Ai and Nhai cuddle to sleep is enough to make me happy π This show has been my bright spot on manic Mondays but it will end next week. I dread going back to Mondays without this serotonin-boosting show to look forward to.
Can someone explain to me why Chonlatee was hiding from Tonhon the entire series then one episode they were randomly…
Chon and Ton are neighbours and Chon has a huge crush on Ton. Till now Chon was stalking Ton and trying not to get caught. For this trip Ton asked him to come along as a friend, so he doesn't need to hide now.
Noey's sister is such a cool cat! Nothing affects her π
I love how gentle Noey is with her. It's like they have a bond that only they understand and get each other without needing words. And when they ganged up against Thi, they poor guy had no chance.
Thi is cute but he gets on my nerves for never being able to read the room. Hope he tones down his dumbness soon. I want to find him as adorable as Noey but his delayed understanding/response to everything feels too much at times. This show will be magic when both Thi and Noey are equally adorable (like Ai and Nhai in Ai Long Nhai)
Wasn't interested much in this after watching the insipid teasers but couldn't resist the pull of a KBL once I saw that it was out π€¦ββοΈ
From the teasers and posters I expected the guy playing the artist to be the assistant since he looks young and goofy. So that was the first surprise. And now I am in mild shock that South Korea actually made something so filled with sexual innuendos, and with zero awkwardness π³ Gah! I love it!!
This promises to be spicy and hilarious. I'm keeping my fingers crossed π€π»π
