Title The Brightest of Us Spoiler
So, this is the second time I was able to watch Zhang Tian Ai. I think she always doesn't get a good role. The last drama I seen her was Young and Beautiful, and it was really bad that I gave it a 4.0 rating.
For this drama, it started interesting, but gets draggy when things just gets more complicated. Romance isn't good either. A Total slowburn like a single kiss happened only on ep.34. The leads became a couple for just a single ep. I believe. ML is terribly bad. I mean, not the guy you would dream of. A total red flag. Like, come on, after confessing to FL, he would retract his confession on the same day saying he doesn't love her. Like, WTH?!!! Gu Yun Fei, should have been the 2ML. He's the total green flag. I skipped parts of Chen Fei, as I'm not interested in her complicated relationships with married men. As for Xu Man and Guo Rui, their relationship is just as annoying as well. i mean, Guo Rui is another red flag. A total loser.

Overall, this is not the ideal romance drama you'll wanna watch. It's a 6.0 for me. ML doesn't even have a character development at all. And my gosh, 43eps is quite long for a crappy romance drama.

Title In Between Spoiler
Same here. What’s so good about Han Su that everybody is after her and head over heels in love that they are…
I think it's the main intention of the writer not to show Qu Yi Peng's plan in the beginning, not to show Nan Nan. Sadly, she's kept in the dark about everything. Even the fact that Han Su, didn't also reveal immediately that she was indeed Qu Yi Peng's ex to Nan Nan. Her character is just so pitiful. Every person around her technically just used her but doesn't sincerely cared for her. Though Han Su considered her as her bestie. I just don't really buy it.

I'm honestly disappointed why the writer gave that character to Gao Peng. I mean, he should have given the potential for a character development for him to start all over with Nan Nan.They should have ended together back again happily. The time capsule of the flower bud went to waste that Gao Peng didn't even remember. This is just too harsh for a reality depiction.

Yes, I understand that aspect about Yi Peng mistakenly pursued Nan Nan, but, as a pure kind hearted woman like her, can he not give her at least a formal apology. I mean, she's a human being not a thing that you can easily throw when not needed. It is very sad that 2 consecutive men she fell in love with treated her that way. Very inhumane but I guess, that's the harsh reality.

Title In Between Spoiler
After watching ep. 24 I really do feel sad about Nan Nan's character. She's the most pitiful of all. I mean, the only wrong thing she did was fell in love with these 2 wrong men. First, Qu Yi Peng, a complete pathetic jerk who wrote a letter to Su Su just to express his regret and how he sincerely loved her and wished for her happiness...like, how about Nan Nan? He and Su Su had their closure but Nan Nan was left on air hanging. She was ghosted literally. Her feelings are also sincere. Doesn't she deserve an apology from him? He'll just smile and say nice to see you again as if nothing happened at all between them? And speaking of this second pathetic guy, Gao PEng. Why such treatment to Nan Nan? Did he ever loved her sincerely at least? So much effort pursuing Su Su, to the point of meeting the mom. Why didn't he ever done that to Nan Nan? From the start, he always doesn't have time for her. And when he's in the losing game that's the only time he remembers her. Just why? Why the writer is so harsh to Nan Nan's character? I strongly believe she deserves a formal apology coming from these men. at least let her feel that she was loved afterall. The story is really good. But, the FL's struggle here is way too harsh. Now, I understand why she needs to talk to her inner self always. It's true nobody really truly cares for her sincerely. Su Su could've been her bestie, but she could've rejected Gao Peng upfront to avoid misunderstandings, but, I feel she's still making him an option. Very sad for Nan Nan, honestly.

Xu Kai's eyes are so expressive. I love watching him. In the break up scene with Han Ting and Ji Xing, you can…
Probably. But, sadly they didn't do at least a special episode For Falling Into Your Smile even the chemistry was definitely on fire.

Sad, but that's reality. To give way for Season 2 I guess. It's always about gaining profit for Producers.

Yes, who wouldn't love Falling Into Your Smile. Totally agree on that. The kisses were just 🔥. The only downside for me is the ending, like it just ended by attending a wedding...and not even their own wedding.

Title In Between
The girls should be the only main roles and the boys marked as supporting roles... 😌🤝🏻
I totally agree on this. All the 3ML's are technically antagonists, so all of them should be a support role only. Xin Yun Lai's role seem to be a cameo only, he vanished almost midway of the drama.

True. You really should have give Ancient Love Poetry a chance. That's one of his best drama for me. I believe the one with Lu Si is not far enough to happen. They're both one of the highest paid actor/actress in china I believe. And with the most number of product endorsements as well. Their project would definitely need a bigger budget.

I, too, was carried on that tag line: "Chemistry? Where is it?" 😁 Luv it! I still haven't finished this drama and put it on hold for quite some time. Should have been watching it for Xu Kai, but, the story and yes, the FL keeps holding me back. There's a lot line up for Xu Kai anyways, I can wait for better plots. Hopefully, Fire Investigator would be good given a different role for him, not your typical CEO or skilled fighter as he usually does in his dramas.

Liu Qing really reminds me of Jeremy Tsui. They kinda resemble. Drama is just okay. Good execution of kisses. Story is predictable as expected in vertical dramas. Gave a solid 8.

Title Lost You Forever Spoiler
S2. Hmmmmm. This isn't a typical romance drama. It's tagged as a reverse harem, so yes, there's going to be multiple…
The basic reason I watched LYF S1 and portions of S2 is mainly because of Zhang Wan Yi. I liked him at Are You The One that made me watch this drama. Disappointingly, he seem not be the ML for this drama since he didn't end up with the FL as a couple. Regardless, who deserves to be with the FL. As far as I'm concerned, whoever is billed to be the ML should be the official partner the FL will end up with. Sadly, that is not the case for this drama that makes it worth dropping for me.

On Echo of Her Voice Oct 5, 2024
I thought this will just be another typical musical cdrama. Kinda surprised that it was presented with a different flair to it. Storyplot was really good. Kinda predictable but I was absolutely entertained. The humor got me hooked. Of course, Miles Wei is one to look forward too in this drama. It's really awesome to see him doing a different role. It's not quite his norm to do musicals, but I should say romcoms is really his turf. Not really a fan of the FL but she was able to pull of her character well. And yes, who whouldn't miss out Ceasar Wu. He looks absolutely dashing as ever. I would really love to see him as the ML again. I also have to mention Zhang Yue...my, my this lady..everytime I see her face in the drama I already knew from ep.1 she will always be the pathetic, obssessed loser and biatch you'll ever hate in the cdrama world. Her portrayals are really commendable as you will really hate her to the core by simply seeing her face. I wonder if this is a norm to her that seems like she's not acting at all. Well, I've seen quite a few of her roles portraying a kind hearted woman which seems doesn't fit her character at all. Anyways, I just really hope she's just that good as an actress, but honestly, her face just stick to my head as someone hateable because of the dramas I've seen her mostly being the antagonist.
Overall, this was really an entertaining the drama. The ending was just so so that lower my rating a bit. Romance wise, chemistry was definitely there. A bit lacking on kisses and skinships or should I say not fiery as I was hoping it would be. Got me teary eyed on Biao's part. Oh, I have to mention too the fight scenes were presented so well. This definitely deserve a higher rating. It's an 8.5 for me.

On Dreaming Back to the Qing Dynasty Sep 30, 2024
I checked this out because of the clips I saw in FB. I thought the time travelling aspect was quite interesting. It really started interesting for me. I also liked the leads. It gave me a Scarlet Heart Ryeo vibe at the same time Rooftop Prince. Just midway I think the plot declined for me. The story of the leads started to get uninteresting. I am liking the 4th and 14th Prince more than the ML. It seems their characters are more interesting. The FL's character gets a bit tiring midway. She doesn't show any exemplary character and just her undying love for ML. I think it would be more interesting if she waived a bit and showed a little attention to 4th Prince or even the 14th to give a good fight with her sister. Her character in the modern era gives more depth than the dynasty era. I guess, I have to forward more scenes to make it to the end.

After completing the drama at this point, 14th Prince seem to be more of the ML to me. The story of the MC felt like took a backseat both in the dynasty era and the modern world. The antagonist 2FL had her better happy ending instead of paying for all the sins she had made both in the past and present. I must commend though Sun An Ke's acting, she really pulled off her role. I liked both leads, but their role on this just doesn't fit. Overall, it had been the the story of 2FL and 2ML 14th Prince. It's a7.5 for me. Kisses and skinships are also too minimal in this drama. Had a great potential, but went downhill halfway till the end.

In main leads, only TushanJing actor DengWei didn't use his voice. Aside from him, Yangzi (Xiaoyao) Tan jianci…
Awesome! Thanks for the trivia. 😊
