Definitely has a happy ending. I'm just more satisfied with the SC's ending than the MC.

So, I thought this was a remake of Drunken to Love You, I guess, this was the shorten version of it. It was predictable I should say. The premise of this drama started strong until ep 18 where the annoying part sets it. It's just too cliched when the antagonist does her thing of doing anything to get the ML. Like, aren't writers get tired of using this plot? 🙄 And here's the FL giving up then comes back in the end. Good thing there's no kid this time when the FL comes back. 😁
The romance meter is high in this drama. I wasn't just convinced how the MC presented intimacy and kisses. The SC won it for me. Their intimacy and kisses are perfectly on 🔥. And yes, the SC had a better ending than the MC themselves. I was suppose to give this a 9 but have to downgrade it to 8 because I was more satisfied with the SC's story than the MC. Overall, not bad for a romance short mini series.

After completing the drama, here's my view on it. I really enjoyed the first half of it. Like I said in my prior comment, I'm so a fan of Historical dramas that have injected humor on it. Zhang LingHe did really great on this on the first half, specially the sarcasm. And yes, I wouldn't forget the confession between LR and PWX on ep 11. For me, that was the highlight of the drama. Midway, I believe that kiss finally happened which I find too short, also the bath scene which should have been the romance highlight of the MC but was even cut too short as well. The last 10 eps. basically focused on the Palace issues. The flashback on PWX story as well as SRQ's for them to be able to clarify what did actually happened in the past took quite most of the time as well. As for the finale, I think I did saw why most people complain about SRQ's prolonged screen time. It was that scene where he didn't dodge the sword from PWX and gave him time to pour all in his emotions to LR.
Still, I was hoping to see more intimate moments of the MC towards the end, but , disappointingly, didn't give it.
I was a bit disappointed too how things have ended. I understand that LR have to be the Princess Royal as the title conveys, but, I think Li Chuan ended up to have a better life than her. Well, she probably thought that she would be able to lead the country better than him, to avoid what happened in the past and her fear of dying in her brother's hands. It just didn't felt right for me when Li Chuan said in his letter that LR seeks for power so he's giving it to her. Like, this thought just bothered me a bit. I mean, the usual Royal Princess I know would love to get out of the palace, live a secluded and normal life with the man she loves. So her brother gets to enjoy this privilege while she has to carry all the burdens of the palace.
Another thing for me, was the antagonists didn't get to be punished here till the end. Like, they just died and didn't even paid for all the wrongdoings they have done specially for Consort Rou and SRQ.
I just hope they presented more scenes how happy they are as a family in the special eps instead of letting their kids talk about their jokes on getting a divorce.
Overall, this is still a Zhang Ling He drama not to miss. Not a fan of the FL, but she was able to pull her character as The Princess Royal. The humor in the beginning made me hooked to this drama. Gave this a fair 8 rating.

I think so too. That makes the Time Travel tag in the genre should be removed and replace Parallel Universe perhaps.

Oh, I've loved Zhang Ling He since his drama Love Crossed and Sparkle Love. Just on ep.11 and so far, enjoying the chemistry of the leads. Not skipping any scene is a good sign for me. 😊

I must say, I am totally enjoying the first 10eps of this drama. Boy, am I glad I started this. I had to put ABAY on hold after being bored on halfway of the drama. I've always liked Zhang Ling He. second to Xu Kai. 😁I liked the fantasy aspect of the drama. And yes, the humor!!! I've always liked seeing Ling He doing romcoms. Another likeable thing here, it is quite fast paced and its giving an immediate feel good vibe between the leads chemistry. Storyplot is interesting too. The bickering part between the leads was just short which is another good point of this drama. I am so loving how the leads do support each other at this early point of the drama. Hope it will be sustained till the end.

Yes, a woman can always choose what she wants in her life. If she doesn't want to be a part of a family, it's her choice and definitely she will always be accepted as who she is. We now live in a modern era. Lots of things have already changed.

I do respect both men and women. I think it is you who needs that statement about learning respect. I don't badmouth anyone. I know what women are capable of and so are men. People face different struggles in life. We all handle different situations. I feel for those who are facing difficult situations. I know what women are capable of and can surpass whatever situation may come in her life.
Yes, some men may not be the ideal man we hope for them to be. Some may have misdeeds, irresponsible or unforgiveable. Still, I believe there are still men who can be a good father, a good husband, a good partner, a brother, a son or simply a friend.
Women will always be appreciated. We all love our mothers for giving birth to us in this world. I respect your view in women. As I also give high regard to all women. Like I said, we all face different situations, so I can only speak what I've gone thru. I have my own fare share of struggles. I don't regard them as sacrifice but I think of it as I need to do things because it is for the welfare of my family.

Thinking negatively will never give a positive outcome and you don't give up a lot just to have a happy family. It's all about the mindset. If you always think of your struggles, you'll never be happy. Instead, think of them as challenges to improve yourself and you will feel fulfilled rather than bitter about life.
I do respect what men can do. I believe they have their own contributions in the society and to their respective families. Both men and women have purpose in this life, so please don't belittle what men are also capable of.
And if you're asking when a mutual agreement breaks what will happen? you'll only be left with nothing if you do nothing. You're an adult, you know what to do...you move on and go on with your life. Life doesn't end with one partner. You can always have another mutual agreement with anyone. There are billions or trillions of people around the world. Happiness will always be a choice. If you choose to be happy then you'll be happy.

Surely. I appreciate all the inputs. Just to clarify, being a homey wife is not a sacrifice. If you love what you do, you'll love to do it wholeheartedly.Just like how much you embrace careers, it's the same as prioritizing having your own family. For me taking care of my family, is what I love doing most. And marriage is a mutual agreement, so it means you'll share and agree your ups and downs. So definitely, it's not one sided. Both parties needs to do their own thing to make things work. Its just a matter of compromise.

Yes, I believe so. Like I said, not everyone has the same views in life. If the majority here thinks SYC was intimidated on JX being career driven that's your call. I'm one of the minority I guess who prefers what SYC prefers in a woman. Being career driven and independent is a good thing, but I still prefer simply to be married to the person I love, take care of him and my future family. If I can do work life balance that will be awesome, still being a homey wife is not as bad as you think as not being career driven. I value family quality time a lot rather than proving your self worth with an excellent top notch earning career. But, if you can do both, you surely lucky enough to have the best of both worlds. Sometimes, we prefer simple things in life and need not be extravagant.

Well, if that's how you view SYC's character so be it. Like I said, I simply admire men who devotes their time for you even with their own busy lives as well. And for a man who wants you to be with his life for a lifetime is some other woman's dream. We have all different preferences in life, some would want to achieve.great in their career and some just simply wanted be loved. It just depends on ones priority in life. Han Ting of course, is a green flag but with his Grandfather's requirements for a grand daughter in law is a bit red flag for me. I prefer living a simply happy life with the the man I love even without luxuries and richness in life and yes, we all don't want too much complications.

But, I believe he has supported her even after the break up He even offered financial support thru JX's friend but knowing JX she would decline that offer because that's how independent she was. Again, if this was reversed I believe JX would do the same and initiate the breakup herself since the relationship is going nowhere. I'm not saying SYC is great but I just prefer his ideal relationship to simply have time for each other. Spend happy times together. Grow together as a person with their respective careers.

Yes he did not say anything. He acted everything is ok because he wanted JX to be in his life. He's in love with her. He's willing to sacrifice just to be with her until he realized that they have different goals in life. That it's impossible for them to be together because they're needs doesn't compliment each other. I think it was a selfless act to let go of someone you love for the sake of her happiness. Because you know that she'll not be happy with the type of relationship he wanted. Obviously, he didn't played the victim and was clearly showned that JX was too busy and no time for him even on the day of their 4th anniversary. Even the timing simply just don't cooperate with them. Things didn't work out only for him but for both of them. JX knew that but her career goals is her top priority and love has to be in the backseat.for awhile.

Yes that's true. Probably she liked him even way before. It such that SYC only see JX and never liked anyone.It's a one sided love at first and got the opportunity to pursue later on when SYC is already free. That's reality. It can happen to anyone.
