It probably is one sided, since most of the issues showned was JX always doesn't have the time for their relationship as she was so focused on her career. Not a bad thing definitely. But, I guess their timing is always off, like SYC seem ready to settle down but still have to wait for JX's quite never ending strive for her career. Truly enough, am glad SYC intiated the breakup since both of them are struggling to sustain the relationship. Probably JX's feeling wasn't just showned so I tend to be sad for SYC. But, I know he'll get the right partner for him later on which is Qiu Zi.

Oh yes, Ji Xing's character is truly admirable, as you've said being strong, independent, educated and career driven. I guess, each one of us has its own preference. I just prefer Yi Chen's ideal woman who would have time for him at least. He fully supports JX with her career and her life, but I understand how Yi Chen's feelings that he also needs someone to take care of him. Sadly, JX's too busy to be able to give that.
I'm not blaming Ji Xing, I just felt sad for Yi Cheng. And I know her character needs to match the ideal woman of Han Ting.

Truly, I admire how career driven persons can focus on their work after going thru something in their personal lives and go through healing at the same time. Sadly, JX's feelings wasn't showned. It just felt too hard when SYC initiated the breakup and explained how he truly felt on their 4 yr relationship. And I also admire his courage to do such, that even if it's hard to let go, he needs to do so because he cares for JX too much.
Yeah, I've seen Gao Han too mostly with Xu kai's drama as well. And yes, I think he portrays mostly same roles.

I think so too. But Yi Xiao is just too sweet to let go. Unless, he does something halfway to lead Li Li choose the other side.

Anyone who's aiming for success is absolutely great. But, I'm just one of the romantic hopefuls who prefers Yi Chen's ideal woman. Like, I prefer being homely than too career driven. Still, I'm for Han Ting, but, yeah, the criteria to be Han Ting's woman here is so high. And Ji Xing's character would be really perfect for him. 😊

Thank you for the inputs. I didn't read the novel so, I just based my reactions on the drama itself as how it was showned. I guess, I just didn't felt the emotions from Ji Xing and all I saw is that she's too excited for her business and yes, how her emotions are starting to build for Han Ting. Still, I look forward to see Yi Cheng have let go of his feelings for JX and be able to get the time and care that he needs that I guess Qui Zi can fill.

Almost halfway. I was so looking forward to this, obviously for Xu Kai. I just get more excited to see him in a contemporary setting. Still, I love all his portrayals whatever genre it is.
So, for the drama itself. It has the same feels as Best Choice Ever. I guess his role is almost the same. I'm really not a fan of Seven Tan, but i liked her in Go Ahead, The Sword and The Brocade. Acting wise, they're really both good. But, the FL's character here is not so ideal for me. Being career driven is definitely admirable, but, there should always be a balance between love and career. I just felt sad about her Ji Xing's 4 yr relationship with Yichen. The breakup was well explained how their paths are so different that it is not worth continuing for. It's just so sad because you can feel the emotion was there. That the two are still so in love with each other, but sadly, it really shows how Ji Xing was so career driven and always doesn't have the time for her partner. I know this has to happen to open the gates of love for the main leads. I just felt bothered how Ji Xing was able to move forward too soon from the breakup, I mean, given it was a 4yr relationship and I think letting go of that feeling would take months or years to recover, but, it seems it only took her one night of extreme drinking to move on. And yes, I really felt sad for Yichen, though I love Han Ting. 😁 Yeah, It was too obvious also from the start that Qiu Zi is so into Yi Chen. I'm quite not bothered on that part since Ji Xing was able to let go of Yi Chen so easily. He also deserves to be happy since we all know Ji Xing would end up with Han Ting.
Not really a fan also of the business aspect of the story, So, I just tend to skip those parts. Halfway thru, I hope to see more interesting story on the romance aspect of all the couples including Lin Jia and Xiao Meng, and yes, who would Li Li end up with? will it be Zhi Zhou or Yi Xiao? I just felt that the antagonists here doesn't cause too much commotion. Like, Han Ting always have an immediate counter attack. 20 eps. still is a long way to go. I'd definitely say this is slow burn. Hope to get more of the romantic aspect halfway thru the drama.

Base on the Netflix credits, this seem to be a true to life story of a Japanese director who basically introduced Japanese porn in the industry.

I have same thoughts about the FL being too dependent on ML. Not sure about it getting more interesting, as it didn't for me till the end. That's my honest opinion. But, for others, they may be able to share what they rave about this drama.

No I did not. Thanks for the headsup. I'm not a fan of the FL anyway. I'd probably more interested to see him being paired to a FL of my preference. Perhaps Xing Fei or Gina Jin or Peng Xiao Ran.

The MDL rating caught my attention and decided to check this out. The story started interesting. Kinda reminded me of Princess Silver, which I think is one of the most beautiful historical storyplot I've ever watched in the Cdrama land. Sadly, went downhill for me midway till the end. I guess, one, the romance is the not the main focus of the drama. And yes, a total slowburn. Like the actual kiss did happen in the finale which is too short so to speak. Another thing is how the romance was developed. Like, just because they're helping each other to reach their goals, they assumed they have already liked each other. I just didn't like the part that FL assumed ML likes her that he can't refuse to help her everytime she needs him. It feels like Oh I know he likes me so he should help me no matter what. Then, the chemistry, I'm just not feeling it. Seems bland. Probably, the lack of skinships and intimacy. And the FL's personality seem quite too mature that doesn't seem fit to ML's character. Quite surprised on Wang Xing Yue's roles. why he was always given a mature role wherein he's technically just 22yrs old. If there's one thing to be liked among the cast aside from our ML, that would be his subordinates. I really enjoyed their characters. Unfortunately, they ended in a sad fate. I'm kinda unsatisfied too on how the original Jiang Li wasn't given much importance towards the end. I was kinda expecting the jiang family would give her a proper funeral and burial ceremony. And that sect in the mountain where Jiang Li was sent should have been closed already for mistreating its member. Overall, I can only give this a 7.5 Lots of draggy parts I have to skip, specially about the political aspect of the story. And yeah, just noticed that most of the villains didn't get punished in this drama. Like, come on, it's either they just get mentally ill or have escaped from punishments thru death. Justice have not been truly served. Didn't get a chance to see a secondary couple to blossom their romance as well. I hope Wang Xing Yue develops his kissing skills in his drama. He's one of the promising ML I look forward to but kinda weak in the skinships department. 😁

Oh my, this is OG Kdrama romcom! I kinda missed this. Just like back in the old era. Seeing those blush graphics again and yes, with all those exaggerations, yes it is slapstick, but who cares, it was entertaining anyway. First time to see Pyo Ye Jin doing a lead role. I think the last time I saw her was with What's Wrong Secretary Kim? She was really meant to do romcoms. First time to see Lee Jun Young. I haven't seen any of his dramas. Nailed his role here. great chemistry by the leads. Not to mention, the kisses were well executed. Overall, gave this an 8.5. This is a short but sweet drama. Ending was okay for me but felt short for the sweet moments of the MC.

Another mini series that I enjoyed. First time to watch ML in a drama. He kinda remind me of Yan Zi Xian. they kinda resemble, and the acting style is almost the same. Chemistry of the leads are surely on fire. Kisses were very well executed. Storyplot is not bad for a mini series. The development of romance between the leads was kinda fast. Not sure if it was love at first sight or simply attracted to seduction that made them fall in love. I guess, due to lack of airtime that it wasn't elaborated further. Nevertheless, the intimacy covered it all. It's a solid 8.5 for me. Definitely deserved a higher rating.

Yes, I agree. I believe each country has its own laws on such matter. But, in the case of Su, I think just like any country, not only in China, it's really happening that some refuse to report such crimes to authorities, as presented in the drama, they fear of being judged by other people, specially on the victim. They don't wanna be discriminated by the society not only just because of money. Truly it is that the parents could have been accused also for hiding the crime and not giving justice to their own child specially a minor. Some countries would have given death penalty for such crime and others max is life.imprisonment. This is a sad reality happening in every part of the world. This drama was an eye opener and hope justice will be served to victims all over the world.

Oh, I thought we have have already rested our case and leave it as how we perceive it. Rose brother had to wait for everything just to win Su's affection. Yes, they're enemies in the beginning, became friends, got drunk at some point, they kissed not sure though about sleeping together.after getting drunk but everything went thru a process. They didn't make out after.exchanging a few text messages. It took time. They built a friendship first by working out together in several meets before they have to be intimate with each other. And he has to wait too for her to agree.on many accounts like you said when to live together, when she is ready to get married, when can they have their first child....everything went on a process...so waiting did actually happen. And for the trauma, yes it will be there, still, there's a process in healing and one of them was the time Su was able to seek justice when her stepdad was.finally apprehended. And she began to seek counseling from a Professional Psychologist. It was showned in the end that she was able to surpass it. She was able to start her own family, live a normal life feeling loved and protected by the people surrounding her. For the other woman, the scientist who works in the lab, she never really cared for Rose' brother. He might have waivered for a time for that boy but it didn't affect their relationship anyway. Probably, our ways of perceiving how the drama was presented was mainly different. There's no need to imply sarcasm in every opinion. Each one has their own POV.

I tell you, the right man can always wait. Just like how Rose's brother waited for Su to surpass her trauma. Yes, this is just real talk so don't tend to over exaggerate things like giving a timeline of 10yrs or so. If you can talk about life here am sure you're mature enough to know what we're talkin' about. Everyone has their own perspective in life. If you're okay on how Rose handled her romantic life good for you. Like I said, I'm not comfortable with her process and that's it for me too.
