Mari had dissociative identity disorder (DID). The twist is that there was no soul swapping at all.She had various…
Thank you for the thorough explanation on this. I really appreciate it. Now I get to know what DID is. I'm only familiar with bipolar disorder and Schizo which is commonly depicted on dramas. But, watching this kind of genre creates a lot of confusion to its viewers. I guess, I'm just not into this.
It's quite nice to see Shin Hye and Hyung Sik doing a romcom together. The last time I watched Hyung Sik in a drama was still Strong Woman Do BongSoon, and his acting still amazes me. He can still pull up that acting cutesie for a romcom. As for Shin Hye, the last drama I've seen her was still The Heirs. Her acting is still the same. I mean, she can pull off a serious melodrama, but, I think, romcoms is not her turf. As for the storyplot, it's like watching a classic Kdrama wayback around 2013. How the family of the FL poured out the humor for this drama. Lots of acting cutesie by our MC. And all the elements you may find like the mystery part, healing, youth/school flashbacks and yes, all the drinking with classic piggy back ride, not to mention to, their classic back hug which was popular back in the mentioned era. The romance seem bland for me. Like, the steamy kiss should have been given already on the earlier part. Started strong but gets draggy midway. I mean, the push and pull of their relationship was stretched too long. The Secondary couple seem to have a more interesting romantic story than the MC. I was kinda looking forward too about some character development on FL's former superior who never asked forgiveness on her, also on ML's family who never had the time for him. Overall, this is just okay. It's a 7.5 for me.
Could you please tell me what happened for it to be a sad ending? Do one or both of the MC die? If it ends like…
Oh my, I'm trying to recall myself how it ended. lolz Since, I watched this 5 months ago. If I have not been mistaken, I think FL died in the end to save ML. ML was suppose to die but she died I think in his stead. I'm really not so sure about this, but, what I am sure is this is not a happy ending for the MC.
Oh my, that I don't remember since I've watched this drama a year ago. But, based on my conclusions in my comment, it seems Qing Ran may not seem to be the biological father of the child. Hope I got it wrong. So, she has done it I guess not sure with whom. π
This was highly recommended to me and decided to give it a shot. I'm really not into youth dramas, but got curious about the high ratings. My take on this drama, it has a good story plot. Great acting by the entire cast. specially Eun Gyeol and Ha Yi Chan. Romance wise, for me, it was Yi Chan and Cheong Ah that shines more in terms of chemistry rather than the MC. I'm not a fan of time travel tropes either; However, I liked how things ended. That the trip was worthwhile after seeing some changes. I'd give this an 8.5 There are lots of fillers, I noticed, that I have to skip. But, I must say, the songs were good. Not sure if those were the original singing voice of the actors, but, they were able to present it well. I just felt there are some unanswered scenes like what happened to Cheong Ah's step brother? was he convicted with the crime? And the evil Tutor/Stepmom? Should have been convicted as well and was hoping she would ask forgiveness to Cheong Ah that never happened. Anyways, not the perfect drama, but still a good show to watch. I enjoyed lots of funny scenes too. Choi Hyun Wook absolutely slayed his character as Yi Chan.
The storyplot of this drama is surprisingly good, unexpectedly. I liked the twists among the characters. I'm usually not into dark fiction, but this got me hooked. The ending is okay, however, there are some questions I think that is unanswered. Like, what happened to Toru and Mika after those several years? I know that intended suicide on the cliff didn't push through. The 2 kids of the MC was adorable. Overall, it's a 7.5 for me. Some clean intimate scenes were presented. Good acting also by the actors involved, specially by the 4 leads. If you're into somewhat thriller dark fiction, this is the drama for you.
I think this was the first Taiwanese medical drama that I've seen. It gave a bit of a Japanese vibe. The first few eps was interesting. Though, I didn't quite enjoyed a few slapstick comic act. Some scenes are a bit drag midway, specially scenes about the Hospital Dean. Chemistry was there between the leads. I should say, the kisses and intimacy are very well presented. All of the cast did well in terms of acting. The ML was hot but, I think I prefer Doc Zhao Jia Ming. Sadly, he's just a cameo role. I was kinda hoping he would be a love rival perhaps between the FL and ML. I also liked Fang Yuan Kui's character. He's kinda cute too. I didn't like much the story of the nurses, except for Kai Li, the pregnant nurse who gave birth. For the medical cases, I think it was quite presented well. But, just find some lapses like the case FL used a construction drill for an emergency patient. It could have saved a life, but, using such instrument needs to be completely steralized, or else the patient could have died of tetanus or infection. Anyways, storywise, it didn't gave me much that interesting plot. But, the hot scenes of the MC got me to watch this drama. Overall, it'a 7.5 for me. I guess, the ending for the MC's romance is a bit hanging. And yes, I don't think "that" nurse who's interested with Doc Zhao aren't a good match. Plus, what's the deal of hiding his face and just revealed it in the finale? I mean, his character wasn't given much focus anyway, specially on the romance aspect. I feel sad for the BL guy who likes Doc Fang. The writer should have just given him a partner too. And yeah, there are lots of nuisance characters that I should say served as fillers. Like the different aunts. I skipped mostly of their scenes.
Are you kidding me, this couple has such a strong cp that they have their own cp fans. Also this drama doesn't…
Ancient Love Poetry has a very good storyline. It's one of the rare Xu Kai dramas that led me to tears. Looking forward to his lined up contemporary dramas like the one with Seven Tan.
i accept your opinion but devaluing the actress to valorize Xu Kai is a little bit too much. She's a skillful…
Yes, I understand what you meant about Jing Tian. It's like you find her sophisticated and elegant looking. I think I've already watched A Girl Like Me. Yes, I hope Xu Kai gets good storyline in his future projects. It was nice meeting you too here in WOL. π Looking forward to more interactions in other dramas.
Oh my, that 40 eps. was really a long journey. I almost dropped this, but out of the finale curiousity, I decided to stick around. Honestly, the first 24 eps was a total struggle. Like, come on, the push and pull of the MC's relationship was dragged too long. The never ending series of obviously scripted coincidental meetings of the MC for every mission. The untouchable toxic aristocratic mom of the FL. And yes, @ ep.25, the light has shone and the real π₯starts burning. Sigh, just why have to wait this long, if the MC could've done this already at an earlier part of the drama. Anyways, glad the story yielded a bit on this part and focused on the family issues. But, of course, they still have to end this with that predictable rescue that I have expected already from earlier parts of the drama. The filler about the brother's drunk incident was really unnecessary. I mean, no one literally was punished for their crimes anyway. I guess, that I find a bit lacking in this drama. The rich still got away from their crimes towards the end. With the cast, Of course, Yang Yang still pulled off his charms as the ML and definitely, gave a fire chemistry with his FL. Have seen FL in several dramas already but, her role here is quite the same in Have A Crush On YOu. I liked the character of Song Yang's sister. Her character is way better than the FL realistically speaking. I guess, I prefer someone with a straightforward personality than a soft spoken one who just want to be tagged as somewaht like demure or lady like. And for the finale, I liked the low key wedding proposal. Kinda looking forward though to the actual wedding ceremony that was never showned. The royal theme gown was made perfect for FL. Overall, it's an 8 for me. I'm really not in for SlowBurns but Yang Yang nailed the kisses as always. So, technically gave an 8 for that. Lastly, this should have only done with 16 eps. By the way, I noticed some scenes were almost the same as You're My Hero, specially the collab training part of the doctors and firefighters.
πIt's not a "romance" drama..as in it's not the MAIN story..Its a slow burn thriller - suspense show I'd say..…
π And so you made me read back my comment on WIFTY...let me just share it here how I got that 7.5 rating. π : "I'm so totally struggling with this drama. Currently on ep. 18 and still doing lots of skips. Given the high rating, I thought this would be somehow like Go Ahead, A love so Beautiful or Put Your Head on my Shoulder. Seriously, another overrated drama for me. First, ML's character is so dull. Am really not a fan of FL pursuing ML all throughout. And yeah, a total SLOW Burn. I also have a hard time trying to perceive the timeline...like it was suppose to be the year of 2015 but they're using Sony walkman and yes, camcorders. I guess, one thing that bores me is the lack of sweet moments by the leads. It's like watching 2 besties studying together and not romantically inclined. I'll use more skips just to reach the final eps. and see what I can rate for this drama. I've finished the drama at this point. At least the story notch up a bit in the last 4 remaining eps. First kiss happened at ep. 20. Ending was okay, but, I didn't felt that happy comparing to Put Your Head on my Shoulder. I've always like endings that the MC will have a kid in the end. For some reason, I didn't felt the excitement here. But, there's one thing to like about the ML, and that is his courage to settle down and preparedness that he was able to buy a home for his future family. Of course, I have to mention loyalty. Men who are very much loyal to their wife/gf are really commendable. Not a fan of the FL's character but her perseverance to get the man that she likes is simply unmatched. I forgot to mention, the writer should have given Guan Fang a partner in the end. His character is more interesting for me. Overall, I can give this drama a 7.5 Generous enough for the last 4 eps that only peaked my interest."
πIt's not a "romance" drama..as in it's not the MAIN story..Its a slow burn thriller - suspense show I'd say..…
I think I started my Cdrama journey during the pandemic. Wherein good Kdramas are scarce so to speak.
I first saw Yang Yang in Love 020. You may want to check that out. I liked him back then. However, after finding these hidden gems as you've mentioned, I started to make a turn and yes, Song Joongki, Song Kang, Lee Dong Wook, Park Hyun Shik, Cha Eun Woo, Rowoon to name a few, aren't only the hottest men in the planet. Now, there's also, of course, Xu Kai, Wu Lei, Yang Yang, Li Fei, Jeremy Tsui and more of that unending list of the hottest men in the dramaland. π
Oh, and I haven't included yet some hot gents of the Jdrama land too. π
πIt's not a "romance" drama..as in it's not the MAIN story..Its a slow burn thriller - suspense show I'd say..…
π And you're the very FiRST persistent person I've had convo with in the MDL World. I like that. π
Oh yes, I feel you on that. Like, it's a rare gem to find someone in the comment section who have same running minds into dramas. π I almost dropped it too, but I was kinda looking forward for some progress in the romance for the supporting couples. Unfortunately, the drama was designed for Wu Lei to shine alone for the ratings I guess.
And that 80% confidence of undropping the drama....hmmmm....π€ Will keep you posted on this.π I can't believe am so being coaxed for a drama. π
Still trying to finish Fireworks in my Heart. I almost dropped this after skipping the push and pull of the MC, not to mention the series of rescue ops. Glad the real fire started @ep.25. Still giving it a chance till the finale. π
πIt's not a "romance" drama..as in it's not the MAIN story..Its a slow burn thriller - suspense show I'd say..…
Hahaha, that I am not sure about. I honestly don't have the slightest thing into court dramas so to speak. Tunnel just happened to have a fantasy element that I got hooked to it. So, that's a different case I guess.
πIt's not a "romance" drama..as in it's not the MAIN story..Its a slow burn thriller - suspense show I'd say..…
You are the very FIRST who made me laugh in the MDL world. π€£π
Thank you for peaking into my list. π Yes, Tunnel is absolutely one of the Kdrama classics and Yes, I can be glued to a drama with a very good story plot even with just a slight romance. π
Oh yes, Wu Lei' stares is not enough for me to give a 10 rating drama. I'm really not a fan of WeChat romance as they oftenly use it in the drama. And storyplot is too weak for me.
Oh my, that True BLue thing got stuck into my mind. π Really appreciate your words. π
I dropped this once after I watched a couple of episodes. Then I thought maybe I wasnβt giving this drama a…
I just started this and having same thoughts. It had a good start, but, like you said, the push and pull of the MC takes so long. And yes, Why can't the FL act her age,? I mean, she's well established enough to discontinue her toxic relationship with the toxic mom. She now earns her own money. I wonder if how long will it go before the tides will change for the MC? currently on ep.15 and still seeing no progress. Just keep on pressing the skip button. Hahaha the most scripted coincidence of letting the MC be together in every disaster! I feel you on that. .π€£Still trying to hold on...to my skip button. π
πIt's not a "romance" drama..as in it's not the MAIN story..Its a slow burn thriller - suspense show I'd say..…
Thanks for a more thorough description of this drama. The more I won't watch it I guess. πI'm also into adult, serious relationship kind of stuff but it needs to have romance in it. Otherwise, I'd die of boredom. π
Are you kidding me, this couple has such a strong cp that they have their own cp fans. Also this drama doesn't…
Oh my, it's you again Draco. Still giving that harsh comment as you did in Lost In Kunlun Mountains, which I've also put on hold with same reasons and haven't picked it up yet to this day. Try to reread and understand what's being said. Think before you speak. Just to make things straight and have to reiterate for you. I love Xu Kai, I'm not a fan of the FL. Never did I mention that I have degraded or have said anything negative about them or their acting. I said they were okay...okay is not a negative nor a bad thing to say. So don't try to twist or try to blow things out of proportion. I've mentioned dramas above that I consider has all the elements I'm looking for in a drama. I can name a few more like The Killer is So Romantic, Mysterious Love, Forever Love(miniseries), My Letthal Man, My Uncanny Destiny, Ancient Love Poetry, Go Go Squid, Love020, Go Ahead, Once We Get.Married and the list goes on...these are just some of fire chemistry that I've mentioned. Anyways, am glad you enjoyed this drama. Like I said, I love Xu Kai but this ain't the drama for me. Still, will continue to watch and support him though he rarely goes out of his country. Sadly.
i accept your opinion but devaluing the actress to valorize Xu Kai is a little bit too much. She's a skillful…
Thank you for respecting my opinion and I understand your own judgement as well. I'm a romance freak in terms of drama. So, fire and passion is something I really look forward to in romance. Without these, a romance drama is considered bland for me in terms of chemistry. On the storyline aspect, Honestly, I rarely rewatch dramas for I have almost a hundred lined up for my Plan to Watch list and I plan to fulfill them one at a time so rewatching has really no space in my timeline. But, if times I get so immersed or fell in love with the characters portrayal, usually that kind of drama already got me from ep.1 one example.I guess was My Uncanny Destiny. Like, all the elements of a good drama that I'm looking for was there. A good storyline, On fire chemistry by the leads and yes, good humor too.
Am glad you enjoyed this drama along with others who's so into this. It's really not for me I guess, still I watched this just to see Xu Kai.
i accept your opinion but devaluing the actress to valorize Xu Kai is a little bit too much. She's a skillful…
Oh no worries. You are indeed well versed in the English language. Sometimes, our words are being misinterpreted in the net world since everyone has each point of view. Some tend to understand some chooses only what they believe in and not open to anyone's idea sadly. Oh, am happy it was Xu Kai that you've.seen in your first drama ( Falling Into Your Smile). I would recommend for you to watch Ancient Love Poetry. That' s the first drama I've seen Xu Kai. It's a Xianxia genre though, if you're okay to watch those. But, storywise, it was one of the best drama of him I've.ever.watched. I can see your so much love for JingTian as much as my love for XuKai. I know she won an award along with XuKai for this drama. I'm a Xukai fan but, in my own opinion this wasn't his best drama, it is still ALP for me.
