It's WAY MORE SIZZLING than many dramas labeled with romance tag.Fab OTP chemistry - complex characters - fab…
It's a nice slice of life drama but more on romance focused if you're ok with that theme.
He seem to be somewhat a 2ML or 3ML perhaps? I think Wallace is more of the guest role since he has less exposure on that drama.
As for like, I don't like him the way I like Xu Kai and the rest of those goodlooking Cdrama actors in the industry. I admire him as an actor, but, I want to see him in a different light. He always plays a villainous character. I want to see him play like a sweet loving loyal husband perhaps? Coz everytime I watch him, his roles are either a cheater or a complete loser. I can see a great potential in him that he can be a domineering CEO who can be loyal to a partner and yes, he can be that romantic as well. Am sure many women will be swoon over if he portrays that kind of ML in a drama like every good looking CDrama actors to name such Jeremy Tsui, Miles Wei, Yu Long...these are a few quite mature C actors who does well in that turf.
After completing S1 I must say the storyplot is interesting that I got hooked to this drama. It has a different approach that makes the story itself unpredictable. I am not definitely happy romance wise. It feels I am watching a circus of relationships for the FL. And yes, hoping for a chance of romance to blossom for the MC and ended up ML marrying another woman just for political power. Like, WTH? And another hateable thing, why won't FL have feelings for the ML? I just can't stand that platonic relationship between them. And for the 3ML, Jianci who can't even express his true feelings for the FL. This is simply a chaotic romance drama. I have to give it a 7.5 for S1. Hoping for a better romance development on S2.
Didn't like this much compared to their prior collabs. Storyplot isn't much interesting. And literally they looked like Father and daughter here. FL dresses like a GS student. She should have taught to dress up a bit maturely to.match ML's age I guess.
The storyplot isn't that great this time. The FL acting like a child just because of a trauma is so off yet she needs to do intimate scenes. Just a 7.5 for me.
How's the romance and kiss meter for this drama? ML did great in Sunshine Of My Life. Was kinda hoping he would have the same portrayal, though the above mentioned is contemporary drama and yes, this is wuxia. Kinda different genre, but hoping portrayal as ML would be the same.
My first time to watch Zhang Wan Yi in a drama. Quite impressed him being the ML. He pulled off his character well. And yes, he was able to make me laugh. As for the FL, I've already seen her in several dramas. She's definitely a beauty as always. She was able to pull off her role as well. Chemistry was there but....the kisses for me were too minimal and not executed well comparing to the kisses rendered by our FL in Fireworks Of My Heart. I know she can execute kisses so well. So, the skinships are definitely lacking in this drama. For the storyplot, it really dragged a lot that I have to move forward on most scenes. The romance part in the beginning should be interesting as the MC started to pour out their true feelings. However, these were all covered up with lies and deceit. It took a lot of time for their official kiss to happen and yes, the revelation of their true identity with each other took a lot of time as well. I was looking forward for more sweet moments by the MC after being officially together and bound to get married. But, it focused more on the palace issues. I was expecting more on the finale, like showcasing their family having kids perhaps but it did not. The fight scene by the MC towards the end was epic though. Overall, this would have been good to 24eps. only. 40eps was quite long for a lots of draggy parts. Given said that, this is a 7.5 for me. Still, will look forward to see more of our ML in his other dramas.
Watched this for Zhao Ying Bo. I've liked him since his drama My Dear Brothers. I've been longing to see him in a contemporary drama. Still, he exude with charm in a Republican setting. The storyplot didn't give much appeal for me. Chemistry was there. Kisses and a bit of intimacy were good. The ending is just so so. It's a 7.5 for me. This drama needs a bit notch up on ratings. Too underrated.
Second time to watch Li Zhou Yang as ML. He's a promising newbie. He has great potential doing full length drama. Hope he'll be given such. About this drama, it started cute. Clichรฉd I may say. Predictable. Story went downhill midway to towards the end. The playing hard to get part of the ML towards the end ate most of the time which is unnecessary. It would have been great if there were more sweet moments of the MC. Defnitely a slowburn. They became an official couple I think arnd ep.17. The kisses were well executed but too minimal. To count it off I think they kissed only arnd 3x. For the antagonist Jingwen, her wrongdoings weren't given much punishment. I felt everything was rushed towards the end. That wedding proposal never happened. And the ending is just so so. Overall, this is just a 7.5 for me.
I don't usually watch this short mini series, but this one got me hooked. Love the chemistry of both leads and both eye candies too. ML kinda resembles Ji Chang Wook. It's a great series. Good execution of kisses. It's a solid 9.0 for me. Definitely deserve a higher rating.
So, I dived in back to this drama to check until ep.11. And yes, I saw that fiery kiss with that accidental tongue…
Probably the writer prefers a rough ML character or a bad ass perhaps. Some women prefer these type of men. For the FL, a newbie actress needs more workshops I guess? ๐

Same thoughts. I felt the lack of emotions from the FL in this drama. And yes, Jesse Ren is also hot. One thing I guess, is also the lack of abs exposure here in this drama comparing to overflowing of DGZ's abs exposure in Forever Love adding it to his fiery kisses. ๐ Will give this a chance later on if there will be more to look forward to. For now, I'll switch back first to Bai Jing Ting. ๐
