Honestly they all have issues, but for some reason I feel bad for Ryo. During the last three episodes I really started disliking him but when you see Risa hitting him and acting like Nagiko.. I just started feeling a little sad for him. Everyone seemed to want to abuse him in some fashion.

These are all questions I also had. It almost made it feel like Ryo causes this in people. I honestly felt a little bad for him.

I've read all but book 8 because it's not translated yet. How much more do you want to know about them lol. Honestly, the only way to have made it like the books would have been to do a series. and I'd like to say that in the manga I really really disliked (loathed) Suzuki.

I agree! So much was left out that I felt was important.

Just FYI along with along with Adult nudity there is a a shot where a small child/toddler runs through and there is frontal nudity of the child. Not sure why they didn't blur that out since it is a child. It made me feel very uncomfortable.
