Bai Lu again has delivered though!

Just started watching . It is good. But I have to ask this - whose idea was to edit like this and give us half hour episodes? The story is a little disjointed because of this. It’s interesting so I will keep going but I hope the continuity is good

Chen Ying only absorbed the energy from the lantern. His obsession was to always stay beside FL AND protect FL and ML. It was the other guy - I forget his name- who was part of the assassins who wanted to destroy the void . And he swallowed the lantern

Have to disagree with you as someone who actually loved his character and enjoyed this drama. According to me you have completely misunderstood and misinterpreted his character. There was a lot of depth to his character. Let’s agree to disagree.

Exactly my point . I think people have misunderstood his character. He actually had a lot of courage and confidence . And he really wanted to hold on to her

I think Duan Xu was powerful enough but there were consequences to the deal he made- as there should. And he did fade away little by little. He was not emasculated at all. It is wrong to say that . Lol he was more manly than some of the MLs I have seen lately. I will not mention those dramas. To me this story was written as it should be. We should also remember we are not talking about an ordinary FL like we had in Love like the Galaxy. According to me this is a non comparison . Comparing apples to oranges . The FL in this dramas is cold, heartless, no feelings. That is not human. And Duan Xu was a boy

Duan. I was not an emasculated sad lover boy. That is my opinion because the power dynamic in this drama was completely different from a regular relationship. You don’t equate a romance with an other worldly being with a romance between two humans . Love like the galaxy - which you mention in comparison is a relationship between two human beings. This is a fantasy between a 400 yr old powerful spirit queen and a young human general. This can be nothing other than a tragic love comity because of that imbalance .

I am hoping for a modern drama from him next

I am rewatching episode 12 : and I am wondering how could she have gotten entangled with such a toxic guy ! It’s so scary just thinking how it would have turned out if she had ended up with the SML. She was too soft on him.
