Same >.> the pilot looked so good as well.Oh well, at least we have the novel...*reluctantly removes from to-watch…
No reason to apologise :). I'm a tad behind myself (this is one of the drama pages I like to check back on to see if there's news) and am going on what people below have worked out. I don't think they posted something official (if I'm wrong, sorry!) but it sounds like those involved are saying the project is cancelled, on hold or at least facing difficulties.
We can hope this isn't the case as this project sounded amazing.
Huu what is wrong with rating 😑Down rated because of less romance???Huu stupid 😑Rate the story ...Not the…
There's many excellent dramas on here rated below 8*, I just think of them as hidden gems by this point. IMO anyone choosing not to at least take a look at this drama is missing out.
The ending wasn't all too fantastic in the novel either to be fair lol. I'd have loved to see Naga City but given they just had 12 episodes I was somewhat expecting the end to be rushed. I still love the series overall and it's one of the best BLs I've seen. Hopefully those of us outside of Thailand will get to see that special episode at some point (or perhaps even a second season, that would be great).
Not sure if you're open to suggestions or seen it already but if you enjoyed this I'd say to check out Guardian. Another lovers from a past life finding each other again whilst solving supernatural-themed cases (but again the ending isn't the best >.<).
I've reached the acceptance stage with this series. It won't get better, that would be impossible. Everyone is…
Sadly I'm having similar thoughts. This is one of those dramas I really want to like but I'm not as invested as I thought I would be. I'm gonna stick this on hold until I've finished reading the novel and then come back to it.
Really needed something after War of Faith , let's see how it sails!!
If you liked the banking/ financial talk in War of Faith chances are you'll enjoy this a lot, it gives off a similar sort of vibe (plus likewise the characters all seem likeable and well-written). I'm very happy this started airing just as WoF finished, talk about perfect timing.
Ah well this very much dropped out of nowhere and sounds like my sort of thing. Guess I'll be checking it out. IQIYI's been killing it with interesting dramas this year.
Disney+ really dominating Netflix from last year 🖐🏻.... They announced Uncle Samaik in May 👏🏻Disney+…
I'm really looking forward to Uncle Samsik tbh...looks very much like my sort of thing. Disney+ is certainly getting their hands on some very interesting k-dramas this year.
MangoTV? Oh dearl...🤣a good time to stock up on migraine medication IG. So after War of Faith we might have this *and* Qin Hao/ Yang Mi's In the Name of the Brother airing around the same time? (iirc ItNofB might premiere on the 20th but ofc nothing is certain in the beautiful chaos that is c-dramaland). It sure will be nice to see Li Xian in a drama again either way. Still wish we could have gotten to see A Love Never Lost >.>
Wary... So wary....Fingerscross nothing bad will happen 🤞🏻
Fingers crossed it airs soon...seeing it removed from IQIYI's coming soon section in my country (England) has me a tad nervous tbh. Hope you're enjoying War of Faith! (if Viu airs it uncensored and in HD I'll gladly support them).
I hope this airs this month...no more War of Faith episodes today is so beyond rough :( Plus I can't wait to see Qin Hao again (and Yang Mi playing a villain role sounds fun).
I'm giving this an 8.5* not higher mainly as what happened to Shen Jin Zhen and I'm feeling a tad petty over her death lol. This is the best role I've seen Li Qin in so far and she was beyond wonderful. Whilst I'm fairly used to seeing my favourite characters getting killed off painfully in Republican-era dramas (my first was Sparrow, enough said 🤣) I felt that such a beautifully warm, intelligent, and inspirational character deserved better. That's my sole grip with the drama, and the chances are when I re-watch this in the future I'll likely up my rating.
Overall though I completely loved this drama, I'll admit I had very high expectations but somehow WoF shattered them all, I completely fell in love with all three of Shen Jin Zhen, Shen Tu Nan and Wei Ruo Lai as characters and was very much invested in their journey. I hope we get season 2 next year, and that both In The Name of the Brother and A Lone Hero's Journey air soon xxxx
A lot of the time dramas like this aren't subbed but we can hope. (I don't exactly subscribe to communism as an ideology, in fact far from it, nor am I going to comment on the actions or beliefs of Mao Ze Dong as an individual, but I still feel dramas like this have great historical importance).
We can hope this isn't the case as this project sounded amazing.
