@Lascelles Whitewashing is to deliberately attempt to conceal. In the case of this drama, it would be hiding the unpleasant facts about the characters, in affect, toning down the story for it to be acceptable to the screen.
Not everything should be viewed as either White or Black. In the real world, many terms using the COLORS are universally understood to have nothing to do with race. It looks silly to allude to race in multiple comments across MDL which is about Asian dramas and movies and Users overwhelmingly don't play that here. Expand your worldview.
I'm sure you've heard of: Black Friday - (American, the day afterThanksgiving) Sadly, many think this is derogatory towards black persons when in fact, it literally means a company has an excess of profits and isn't 'In the Red' which again could be taken as derogatory by Indigenous Americans when in actuality it means the company has a more debt to profit ratio.
I know someone who was married to a mama's boy. Was not an easy situation to be in.
Well, I hope she doesn't ever hear an apology years later "I'm sorry, I should've listened to you. We should've moved.". If not for the Overt narcissist from h*** we had a fantastic marriage. Says a lot about a mother, too, who tried to take away her grandchildren from all of her children.
Or like in my local area calling students 'Scholars' until those same scholars made the headlines this week after…
It was too funny. The high school has had numerous stories in the news, mainly quoting teachers and the principal and they always mention (the students) as scholars. "We call them what we visualize them to be." is how they put it. This specific news article yesterday left out the word 'scholar', and I don't care enough to check their website to see if the wording has changed.
"to applaud the ability to breathe, blink, sneeze, or chew gum next" is reflected in many Users comments of actors and actresses who, despite numerous roles, haven't elevated their skills, and it's bleeding into the award shows.
She got married in November 2022 and gave birth last year (2024). How long was she pregnant then? 2 years? LOL…
LOL. Reading comprehension and math skills are more important than one thinks, aren't they? The User's comment is the classic 'I stepped into it all on my own and have no one else to blame.', and such a long comment, at that.
I gusss cats don't really stick to their owners! lol
So did mine. I couldn't even go to the bathroom without him by my side. Makes me wonder tho if being older (Benny was 17 when he died) they get more clingy.
