Great plot twists so far. The ML carries the drama. The emotions he portrays with his eyelids alone are worth…
well said and the gender swap is getting mooore riddiculous w the more physical contact !

at this ep7 we kind of see the limits of the king's planning and knowledge! he does not know mong woo is a woman ( the letter he received he said ' i shall find what is lost: he would have said what u lost is safe for ex)

however this letter may give him the seed to put all the dots together.

the show is doing a brillant take to 'soulmates' beyond gender. the only limitation i find here is that realistically,' holding' someone close ( twice in that ep alone) didn't give clue ?

last bit: his first encounter with hong jo ( a trap that was set for him) he was entretained, but if i remember correctly he was ´acting' too.

i hope we see more mong woo plans other than ' i knew it was gonna happen' lines lol

I guess the drizzle wasn't wet enough for the truth to be revealed underneath Mong Woo's white sokgot underclothes.

At this point, I think the king will be disappointed when he discovers that Mong Woo is actually a woman 🤣🤣
the last scene i was like not tooo fastttt !! but i thought he might know already but the preview says otherwise and frankly his clarity w his decisions is really brillantly done!!

i really enjoy the plots and twists so far! i just hope it doesn't get too lyrical and desperate 😭
i really wanted the king to find out ming woo's real identity ASAP but now i trust with the caliber of the episodes so far, they will reveal it at a very previse time and well🙏

Yes! The read-between-the-lines dialogues are so intense! Also her telling him that if he needed a badukplayer…
i wonder if she believes it or just used it to provoke because she looked doubtful/ unsure when she was discussing it with her team!

Title Captivating the King Spoiler
last bit of ep 5 and the confrontation was phenomenal! DID U NOTICE how mong woo is probably the only person receiving his full face(emotion & anger and direct questions) of the king compared to others? he knows mong woo is his match!

i feel there is more to discover about the last 3 years.
notable points:
- so hee questionned if there was any other reason for the previous baduk prince dying (as if she knew the king must have good reasons or unconsciously looking for positive)
- king telling mong woo about the death report, as if there was more to say
loving the show so far!

right after 3 years that poster for the king's instructor was put out there so the king can find her through that…
me tooo i thought the labor years and the time of the posting were linked!!! i really hope he shows to be a plot master like a baduk master than anticipates waaaay more than the show wants to reveal

TBH it’s clear to me that his plan is to find who is behind the poison, punish them and bring back his nephew…
this was my biggest question for ep 4! i hope your interpretation is right!

i really did not understand the GP in ep 4, the big change in his behaviour! does that shift symbolize his ascension/embracing his fate?
also we saw a looooot of his reactions/emotions in the first half of ep4, but nothing since he kills the minister... (except at the end when he was angry at playing baduk alone ...which tells we almost have a different character than the chivalrous one of first 3 eps?)

there's the king and brother, sister (hong jo) and brother, father and son (minister of was) , the daywon queen & her sons, all these relations are displayed and layered and masterfully written.
i am scared to be disappointed now bc i like the show and it's been a while since i could enjoy all aspects , cinematic, acting, plot, complexity...
