bummer. I've always thought of YT as the prudish version of these things. BUT...it still remains true that the scenes I mentioned did NOT play out to a natural conclusion, which would have been a boink, a shower, and another boink. The transition is more abrupt, but the place to which the scenes were headed was not reached. Know what I mean?

Most beautiful thing in this series besides Nuea's face/torso is that lake and waterfall...just gorgeous. The beautiful boys standing around in it in their shorts were just icing on the cake.

yeah, me too. Toh and his curdling up in a ball of coyness and shyness thing over and over again wears on me. I just got halfway thru ep 7 and decided to take a break. So many scenes of repetitive silliness and over-the-top cringing from the Pride Posse. And this conceit that all these hot straight jocks are chasing goofy, flamboyant queens is very hard to buy even if it is somehow explained later. Truly wonder how many thousands of people have dropped this series partway in. It's a hard watch.

Thoughts on ep 6:
Prao is maybe the most stunningly beautiful ex-GF in BL history. And she doesn't seem to be a stereotype. It feels to me like she TRIES to be a bitch to the Pride Posse but her heart's not really into it. When she spoke privately to Nuea she was forthright and direct without being vindictive and playing the victim. I don't hate her, and I love to look at her.
This show is so oddly written, which is another reason I keep being tempted to drop it again: Toh and Nuea have this romantic, flirty scene leading up to what is supposed to be a boys-together shower at the hotel...potentially very hot. Then the next scene everyone is outside at the Uni and it's as if that scene never even happened. WTF?
Then later we have the Neau-naked-presumably-with-a-boner laying on top of Toh in bed. Toh hops out of bed to attend to a bloody nose, Neau sits in front of him in a bathrobe, again with the sexy talk and his hand squeezing Toh's thighs, moving in for a kiss...next thing we know we're on a bus headed for "camp."
None of this makes any sense. By my count, Toh and Neau should have already done the deed three times including the night at the hotel, yet that is clearly not the case. The script just keeps building up to major events and then jumping ahead as if those scenes were not what they appeared to be or just never took place and we're supposed to forget them. Either lazy or sloppy or just inept writing, I don't know which.
Either the Pride Posse has toned-down their stereotypical flamboyance or I'm getting used to it because this kind of annoying, disorienting plotting is now the most embarrassing part of this show.
Who is this InTouch dude? He looks exactly like Nuea and seems to be in some way connected to him. Brother? What? Nothing? Who knows?

OK< well, on to ep 7.

I'm going into ep 6 now after dropping it three times because others here, whose opinion I respect, swore it gets better as you go. But seriously, for me it took FOUR AND A HALF EPS before I took my thumb off the FF button. That is a four freaking hours of our lives, and a very long time for a show to expect its audience to stick with it before it's bearable. I know my opinion is not rare here, which is why I share it.

I'll admit though, that I have to work to suspend disbelief that a person like Nuea would be into a person like Toh. They have nothing in common whatsoever and Toh acts downright mentally ill or intellectually challenged much of the time. Often, when something sweet happens with Nuea he appears to go into a sort of slow-motion seizure of some kind. The director/writers haven't shown me what it is about Toh that draws Nuea in. Rather he seems to like him DESPITE who he is. Which is a nice fantasy for nerds and weirdos but not very realistic. :D

I stopped reading your comment immediately because I haven't gotten past ep 5 yet, no disrespect. I will come back to it when I get further along. Thanks for replying.

Thanks for reminding me, but what I'm talking about is more like what we got at the end of ep 5, which was the first time they discussed their attractions to Toh and Jao that was different and new for them, and that if they proceeded it was going to make a huge difference in what their lives as straight, popular college jocks had been to that point.

I've seen all of those except for some reason The Blue Hour. Didn't care for BC or PATGOC, which were just pointless and bizarre for the sake of bizarreness to me. For some reason I'm not a huge Gun fan anyway. Loved Dangerous Drugs of Sex for the most part, but about 2/3 in it managed to make wildly kinky sex seem boring. I have had gaga before but dropped it; don't remember why. Probably felt like I'd seen what I wanted to see and there was nothing new.

Me too...though I can't believe it myself and I don't think it's wise to spend four and a half of your episodes getting to anything that pulls us in. I'm still liberally using my FF button, but...

What is it about Asian men...? Even Jao looked hot in his room with just the towel on. I'm getting now that he has an issue with his bod but I thought he looked great.
Nuea is gorgeous of course, but there's something about Sky...very sexy. He would make a great vampire. That other buddy of theirs is smokin' too.
The boner scene was a long time coming...lol. True thing: just moments before that I was thinking it would be hysterical to have Toh fighting to hide a boner whenever Nuea is around and then...there it was! I laughed out loud.
The chat Nuea and Sky had at the end of ep 5 by the pool was interesting, but I wish something like that would have been alluded to much earlier to explain their attraction to this Pride Posse of friends. You know, some elements of discovery and surprise at what they were feeling and thinking. But it felt like the jocks were all-in from ep1, so there was no build. Also, the jocks' female friends are all like "oh you like dick now? oh, cool...that's nice."
Daisy's jeans...thing he wore to the beach was...interesting too. lol

Agree. Except for me Mood Indigo is the best. As far as ratings, I think MDL is mostly teen fangirls/boys and they think "Bad Buddy" was an epic achievement in every facet of film-making. Seriously. Which is all you need to know.

I agree about the plot. I still don't get what was going on with that straight nightclub KH was apparently frequenting. He acted very suspicious and then they started fighting and it was never explained.
