Watch Taiwan BL. Even if the plot is sh*t, the production low budget, the guys are always 1000% committed.
I recommend Unknown - best airing BL at the moment.

It's a tiny Taiwanese series with not much promotion. People will flock towards it when all episodes are out. The actors are not well known, it's not a HIStory series either. If not for Youtube who recommended me the first episode (shortly before ep 3 aired) I would have never seen or heard from this series.

Qian not answering San Pang is an answer in itself... . I bet Qian had feelings for Yuan for a couple of years…
I think Qian is very confused and not ready to put a label on those feelings calling them "romantic love". But before the kiss happened, there were several scenes where Yuan came very close, or he was hugging him, and Qian was irritated and nervous, but it didn't seem that he disliked it. I felt like the writers were showing us from the beginning in a very subtle way, that Qian is indeed feeling something. Him being so miserable after Yuan left, also shows that something is not right.

Best quote of the whole episode. That's so true.

Here the long trailer again. We are at 7:10

What we will get in the next episode from the preview and the clothes they are wearing:
- The relationship between San Pang and Lili will be revealed (for those who now think Yuan will play games and behave like he is in love with San Pang - wild theory!)
- We will get the fishing scene where Yuan admits that he doesn't care if the person he loves gets married, he just wants that person to be happy. So I would assume he admits that he is still in love with Qian, but he is chill about it. Why else would he say something like that? Like ... why? Will he pretend to have a one-sided-love (with someone else)? Again? I doubt it. No games here.

Yeah I called it, in the preview from ep. 7 they will go the jealousy troop for Qian to admit his feeling. But…
Whuuut? Why are you all doubting the writing quality suddenly, when they did nothing wrong until now? Because of a confusing preview? Qian most likely is just irritated that Yuan isn't caring for him as he was before. So yeah, he will be jealous in the sense, that he now experiences how it feels not being #1 for Yuan.
But come on...! San Pang? What are you all smoking?
And yes, it was the other guy he gave the water to.

I don't really believe Yuan would ever play hard to get with Qian. His character is simply not written that way…
I think the same. Yuan just tries to keep his distance, so Qian won't be uncomfortable.
He just wants that there is no awkwardness between them.
Qian on the other hand is used to Yuan taking care of him, being clingy, so this new (cold) behavior may irritate him.

I don't think Qian sees Yuan only as a littler brother, but he doesn't think of him as a romantic partner either. I feel he is in a transition phase ;P

Qian's ailment is scaring me πŸ˜–πŸ˜–πŸ˜ž
No, seriously, when you have an orgasm, the blood rushes to your head, the blood vessels dilate.
Imagine having a migraine and having sex ... NOT RECOMMENDED, lol.
I still wonder what kind of ailment he has, and what kind of cure there is. The cause is traumatic head injury. I assume, and now he has to deal with the long term consequences.

Well, I take it back. "Filler" was the wrong word, but it was a rather slow episode that connects the first part of the story with the second one.

I knew this will be a filler even before it aired. I like how the plot is rather fast (like San Pang already asking Qian if he has feelings, they don't beat around the bush), but then they take their time when it's needed.

I agree they could have shown us more about Yuan's experience. When I think about it, it seems they focus more on Qian in general. He is in the center of the story. Isn't even the title of the novel something like "Older brother"?

About We Best Love: There was the time skip, we got some kind of music video that didn't explain anything, and then they started s2, and told the story backwards, until there was no story left between the main leads around ep3.
The reason for the break-up was ridiculous. The characters changed so much, they were unrecognizable. I felt like they were sacrificed for the sake of the angsty plot. The story was plot driven, not character driven, which wouldn't be an issue per se, but the plot made not much sense either.
Still, seeing Sam and Yu kiss was worth every second of it ;)

If you don't enjoy it, then move on. I don't see how this discussion can lead anywhere. I really don't know what you want. Not that I don't want to argue, but I'm lost here.

First, those previews can be misleading. We don't know the context or the whole conversation yet. When I was watching the trailer, I got a completely different impression of the characters and the story. Think about the earlier scene, when they were also fishing, imagine a preview of that conversation. Could have been misleading too.

So you don't like Yuan still having feelings. What is the alternative? That he indeed moved on? And then? How deep and serious was his love to begin with, if he just moved on in some years of separation. He loves Qian, and it seems he doesn't want to lose him, but he accepts that he can't have him. It doesn't get any more mature than this. He is family after all and too precious to Yuan. I don't know where you see the jealousy plot, though. Again, you want him to move on? And then Qian should chase after him or what, so that Yuan falls in love again? I don't see how this is a better plot.

We Best Love: Do you still remember why they broke up? I agree with everything you said, but after finding out what was the reason for all the pain - I couldn't take this story serious anymore.

I found episode 7 disappointing, rather treacly in a series that has been emotionally deft so far and, unfortunately…
The separation was needed, so that Yuan could cool his head a bit. Not much happened in this episode, but they still managed to reconcile, and as a viewer you feel that time has passed. I think that's very important. That reminds me of the series We Best Love and Kiseki, where we also had big time skips, but the writers didn't bother showing us what happened in those years. Very lazy writing, if you ask me. I'm still bitter about We Best Love, because that was handled insanely bad. So I think this episode was a good example of how you can avoid such mistakes.

Yuan being a bit cold or not so caring anymore – I don't think he plays hard to get. He does it to protect himself and Qian. When he confessed, Qian send him away. What is he supposed to do now after coming back? Confessing again? Since he was brutally rejected, and he has no reason to think that something changed and that Qian will ever love him back, it's best to not show his feelings anymore. I'm pretty sure he will drop that mask immediately, when he gets a glimpse of hope Qian may love him too. In the trailer/teaser are many scenes where he is as soft and caring as he was before.

I loved Chris acting when San Pang asked him, if he has feelings for Yuan. He said nothing, but at the same time he said it all. That was just perfect.

I'm very surprised by the quality of the writing and the cinematography. I looked up who is behind this, but they have only We Best Love under their belt, which was good, but this is next level. The editing is so smooth, the music great, all the scenes are so beautifully filmed. I don't recall any other Taiwan series with this kind of quality. They pull you into the story with the beautiful atmosphere they create. I can only think of some Korean BLs that are comparable when it comes to creating such a warm and captivating atmosphere. I'm really impressed.
