Maybe have to do with the differences in their blood. SituLing’s father is after all a villain too😓.

Yup, agreed. Situ Ling is really not a ‘villain’ to begin with, however when he starts to receive dark powers, he became easily corrupted as he is also an abused kid with only one faith which is to save MY. He is a sad character as FuYue loves him since beginning and if he can let go of his obsession, maybe he will see her. But then it’s also his obsession that kept him alive for so many years.

Your theory is too kind to the YaoGuang Empress😅. She switched JBZ away for MY is because JBZ has no spiritual veins and she doesn’t want her status to be threatened so she abandoned her own child. And of course Bo YuLan is willing as her daughter is bear with the guard, so to keep her identity save, she made that exchange.

Ah, watch on you are still early in the show, some spoilers: JBZ will first confess his love at ep 19 and they will have some steamy scene in that ep and ep23 then there will be some misunderstanding and JBZ will know MY’s identity at ep25.

At ep 28, he hasn’t appear back yet.

His essence is still preserved in the bell, so once MY recovers, he can be revived.
