Yeah, IQiYI just dropped this without much promotion. Yesterday, 3 ep released with additional 3 ep under VIP subscription. Today another 2 ep was released.

I believe TongYao is the FL for the second generation story. The first generation story is Ryan Cheng and Jelly Lin. The romance is pretty good for a Republican era drama. Ryan is the mafia lawyer with a gentle kind heart and Jelly Lin plays the role of a strong will gynecologist.

Hi ChunTian dear, still waiting for more good shows. I only pretty much enjoy the ‘Long for Fish’ drama for month of Aug, feeling inspired to be a ‘salted fish’ now🤣🤣🤣. Hope Sept has more good dramas.
Again still manifesting hard for XiXi’s Shui Ling Long and after watching Arthur Chen, I am longing for “ShiZun” and his pairing with XiXi, which really don’t when that will be😓.

If you are not a fan of XianXia storyline, this may not be an easy watch. It has a lot more angst compare to ‘Blossom’. But you can still give it a try for first 5ep and see how you feel about this;).

I was waiting to read your review for this show. Had the same rating as yours. Initially I gave it 7.5/10, as I read the novel and was disappointed of some changes and also couldnt really see Zhou Ye as a female disguise as male soldier and not being noticed. She is too pretty and didnt have a boyish look. I have seen some other female actresses that suits better. But she tried hard and I don’t dislike her in the role. I agreed that the fight scenes were well-choreographed and enjoyable to watch. Once I switched off my brain on the plotholes, their chemistry was really good;). Thanks for this, help me clarify some perspectives. Have a safe good trip, and hope to see you in next drama page when you return.

Nope, that old lady at hospital bed? Her face is still hidden. From that moment, the story started about the first CP. I still suspect that old lady is the first FL’s niece. But we shall wait for it to reveal;). I am at ep 6, I like the chemistry and progression between the first CP. It reminds me of old HongKong movie of those difficult times.

At the hospital, the girl tried to suicide and survive, her grandmother said she want to tell her a story about her grandfather who till death is still waiting for her Aunty’s return and the story starts with her Aunty, who is Lin SiYun.
I may not be correct and misled by how the story was told, was let’s see how it turns out😓.

Ah, Love of Divine Tree is also an easy watch, most moments are quite fun too. It also depends whether you like the pairing. I enjoyed it;).
