Yeah, I also thought that was his characterisation. But now I felt there is no continuity of the original character, the scriptwriter just decided to set up angst. Apparenyly according to novel readers, his character was much more clear and decisive.

He has also been seeing good demons, I don’t think he is a believable of all demons are bad, but his reaction was just so weirdly and his inaction on the whole matters just so frustrating.

My frustration with ep 29 is not about the SML…but with Mei ZhuYu.

Actually everybody wants his blood, hence he was bleeding a lot and the young girl uses her blood to replenish some but still Can’t wait him as he was stabbed by the frost fish weapon. The lightning bolt was to trigger his spiritual power and bring him to live, Thats how I interpreted it😓.
