Is the name "vermillion bird" of that hall the same word in Mandarin as "rose finch"?
To my understanding, I don’t think so. The Chinese title is literally describing the hall, as the happening are all there. The English title may be given to describe the becoming of FL, will be the one who rebelled.

It’s brutal indeed. But I love the investigation and detective work. I am enjoying it so far, binged 16 ep.😅 at one seating, need some rest to continue. It’s good!
For a short form drama, they really put a lot of thoughts and effort in to this. The ShangHai views are so beautifully done. I am also liking the FL’s acting, she is so cool!!! Enjoying it so far.
Finally I finished all the ep. Very interesting and innovative script, love the parody and humour. This is the second script I am deeply impressed by, first was ‘Filter’ and then this on the creativity. The dream sequence, the reset, the characters’ growth, changes and the looping events were coherently explained and account for. A very fun watch. Such a happy ending with good closure for everyone. The post credit scene got me thinking that maybe Nan Heng was Nan Feng all this while but he was just not self-aware like SYM. As it will be so odd for Nan Heng to live as Nan Feng in modern life…but guess I shall stop overthinking on this as the drama/dream is over.
