I am so happy someone with common sense and obvious literary interest writes a heartfelt and beautiful review…
Thanks for your comment.
I feel that there are many people who have truly liked the drama and they have also left good reviews for the future viewers to browse through to get a general idea about the drama before they watch it.
However due to some weird Hate Vendetta against this series, all positive reviews and genuine reviews with constructive critisism have been mass downvoted.
I am not a person who gives 10/10 very easily, for me to give a series 10, it should have been able to touch a chord. This one managed to do that for me so I hope others will also give it a try to see if this series resonates with them on an emotional level.
Portia : How many things by season seasonβd are To their right praise and true perfection! ( The Merchant of Venice by William Shakespeare) Many things are better because they are perfectly timed, a similar theme is underlined in the drama as well as the reason for me to like this drama. Perhaps my fondness for this drama stems from the fact that I watched it when I was in a drama slump and nothing seemed to engage me as a viewer till this came along, riding on a white horse piercing through the fog of funk.
With so many time jumps and changing of people's fate in a single series, makes a person wonder whether the Time is really linear? The events that we see in the beginning of the series have a deeper connection to the past and as the story keeps unraveling past events and the changes in the past that affect the future, makes a person think about the age old question... whether the egg came first or the chicken? Everything becomes circular and all emotional connections are based on the new changes, but were those changes already in motion, even in the past? The time travel aspect has been attempted in many other fictional motion works too, so the concept is not innovative but the emotional entanglement of the characters makes it a gripping watch.
Conclusion: A perfect watch for a rainy day, hoping to have SOMEONE in our life who will always have an umbrella ready to provide shelter and warmth when things go South. 10/10
The relationship of Ya Ya and A Lai as of now seems more like between a star struck fan and an idol...I like how A Lai tells Ya Ya that if she truly admires her idol then it's better to emulate his good qualities rather than accumulating worthless baubles connected to him...on the other hand A Lai really wants to be the kind of a good person that he sees as an image in Ya Ya's eyes of himself.
After watching 6 episodes, all the threads in the story are finally connecting...The Grief tree and it's role in uniting the lovers is so refreshing....
I really like how the main story of Tushan sisters and their quest to keep a peaceful Tushan for all spirits is connecting with other people...The main lovestory is getting connected with different love stories, it's making for an interesting view.
i feel like there are a lot of new cdrama watchers do know that the characters can be 308470327402years apart…
Hmmm... That's one plus point of being an immortal, your youth is frozen in time, they don't need expensive beauty treatments to retain their looks.π
For me, what's more important in such relationships is when the romance actually started, in most of the stories when there is a huge age gap, the actually romantic feelings are developed much much later when both are consenting adults and then the age is no bar.
The production team has definitely made great efforts in the special effects department and the costumes...the result is spectacular.
Beginning of the fate and some background info is explained quite simply for people who are not familiar with the story.
But I must confess Tushan Rong Rong is the girl after my own heart...my my how calculative she is, she keeps track of all small expenses...She would make a great accountant π
Tushan sisters' bond seems very strong...hope we will get to see more of their relationship dynamics...All three sisters complement each other and seem to be powerhouse when put together.
I hope someone will upload the schedule soon but the timer clock on this page has been activated...The drama will air at 6 pm china time on Thursday 23rd May, just in a few hours.
PS: someone has kindly uploaded the partially released shedule in the photo section, click the link below to view the uploaded airing schedule.... currently we have schedule for the first 10 episodes only. https://kisskh.at/photos/kAdYjv_3
I M seated for this one.... always ready to watch a good fantasy romance series...the trailer promises a bitter-sweet, thrilling adventure of love pursuits of various couples.
I am glad that you found it useful...I will surely check out the mini drama 'An Ancient Love Song' recommend by…
Yeah, it was different...sometimes these mini series surprise me with their "different from the norm" storylines, plus it's a quick watch.. perfect for watching when you want to take a break from your busy schedule.

I bet, based on Ya Ya's fiery personality, we will surely witness some major fireworks π π in display after that reveal.π

In a relationship between immortal and a mortal, it's often the mortality and short lifespan of the mortals that is a hindrance in their love story ...in the beginning the mortal may be a youth but they keep on aging and ultimately die whereas their immortal lovers remain young forever. That is why this is the most doomed romance clichΓ© in the history.
For me, what's more important in such relationships is when the romance actually started, in most of the stories when there is a huge age gap, the actually romantic feelings are developed much much later when both are consenting adults and then the age is no bar.
* Brief but hilarious scene of Crane and Tiger thinking of and writing all possible chicken recipes.ππ
