This dialogue is about philosophy of life being master of your own fate. The villagers are speaking ill of Yun Tian Qing(Tianhe's father) but from the first two episodes he seems more like a broken hearted person. He created a place, Qingluan Peak for Humans and demons to co-exist peacefully so he must be a benevolent person. Tianhe wants to find out who his parents were and so do we, the viewers.

I feel the better words to describe him for the beginning episodes are inexperienced, sheltered, naive... He has been kept secluded for all of his life for his protection by his father. Therefore , refreshingly, he shows awe and happiness at every small 'new' thing he encounters..
As his journey progresses, he will become more experienced and unfortunately will have some bitter life lesson that will make him more guarded in his approach.

Later, she was sent to a county magistrate's home, and was raised up there as a human child. To know about the true identity of herself, Mengli joined Tianhe and Lingsha's journey. The name Mengli comes from lapis lazuli.

Is it that both Lingsha and Tianhe are connected in some way... When both held the sword together it powered up... Lingsha felt extreme heat and Tianhe felt extreme cold when both were holding the sword handle together.
Tianhe becomes the new master of Wangshu sword.
Also the mystery of two zao jade pieces seems to be interesting...seems like sisters rivalry.
Han Ling Sha's red bag seems like it has every item that she might need, I had read about such bags in a fantasy story where the bag was attached to an abyss and could store and summon any item required.
The fight sequence in the cave between the talisman spirit guarding the sword and Tianhe seemed quite like a video game, I can perceive how the game for this series would be played based on that.
Intriguing story from the beginning, many secrets have to be unfolded yet.

We are supposed to be in dark but members on mydramalist were speculating as to what he could have said... Some were of the opinion that turtle said that you taught mr. Zhong to read and write and thats why Turtle knew the past details... I am of the opinion that it was just a ruse of mr. Xue to bring the magistrate closer to him as he had decided to murder the magistrate and then commit suicide, so it didn't matter what the magistrate whispered because the intention was to kill him not hear some deep dark secret.... You can form your own opinion.
