but then, you'd need an upvoting campaign for Nirvana in Fire, Joy of Life and many others 😂 to balance out…
Yeah, different genres and people have different taste, and I'm happy that a lot of people really loved MLC. Though I with how lopsided the ratings already are on this site, I fear voting campaigns for one show will just lead to similar campaigns for others. And you get a upvoting arms race that just bring everything to square one. MLC is already one of the top rated shows, so it's not being overlooked.
😂😂😂 ep9, almost there. All the idol costume drama tropes is such a goldmine for parody, I'm surprised…
yeah quite funny, going to post it to feeds. Also the subsequent kissing scene, with mocking dramatization. More people need to see this, quite enjoyable.
For people who are lost as I'm after Mysterious Lotus casebook ended What to watch next ??Here are some good Bromance…
Egg and Stone, I'm going to recommend this as the default withdrawal buster from now on. It's not a serious show, but really well done humor and parody. Decent acting too. Enough laughs to hook you in the 1st episode.
Lets refer MLC to our mom dad or older acquaintances, MLC may need new watchers and voters from 35-44 and 65+…
but then, you'd need an upvoting campaign for Nirvana in Fire, Joy of Life and many others 😂 to balance out the ratings. In fact, I noticed NIF dropped in rankings, which I suspect is MDL tweaking their algo because the likes of Hidden Love, WIFTY, and maybe this was getting too high. And NIF became collateral damage.
This show is nice, I enjoyed it, and am glad many people really loved it. But I don't see it as top tier, rather a nice show with really good execution.
2/9/23, completed the drama. Fun, sweet and heartwarming!
What a pleasant surprise! I'm just watching for the comedy and not really expecting/needing a conventionally good story. But good to see the show also pulling off the sweet and heartwarming.
Episode 1 Amusing start to a new series 😂🤣. The name of the series is odd, I wonder if the name has some…
It's from a Chinese idiom 'smashing a rock with an egg' . Basically analogizing the futility of an effort. It's referenced in several convos in the show and lampooning some of the MCs.
It's awesome, just watch it. And while the payoff of most shows depend on the whole story and ending, this show you can just watch for the laughs in each episode.
It doesn't even need a coherent plot. Though so far (ep8) underneath all the silliness, there actually is a consistent plot line.

The good news is that if you liked this show. There are 2 more shows you'll like even better 😃. I recommend you watch Sword Snow Stride first, then Joy of Life. They are from the same screenwriter and has a similar vibe but even better execution compared to Young Blood 1&2.
Both of these excel at depicting a fleshed-out world with dimensional and intriguing characters. The plot twists are revealed in a way that's even more integral to the story and with the proper buildup and pacing. And best of all, there is plenty of humor (especially JOL) delivered by veteran actors.
Though unlike YB, where the story revolves around a team of main characters, SSS and JoL is much more focused on the journey of the ML. Though if you liked Yuan Zhongxin, the MLs dials up the 'good-hearted rogue' character even more. And there is still camaraderie between the ML and his team of funny/intriguing support characters.
