I was told to put a trigger warning so here is the trigger warning for anyone who likes this drama. It contents…
I don't know about whether it is a healthy relationship - I think this term is overused to such an degree it had lost all meaning, but I agree I see zero chemistry between the two. For me it makes this drama kind of flat. I think they did a disservice to the drama and the actress by making her blend with the character in animation . I think that made conveying real feelings very hard for DD. As a result she doesn't act dramatically, but takes poses. I think she is not strong enough actress to pull this off. He, otoh, is full of real emotion,. The contrast to me is so stark that it kills any romantic interplay between them . After all how appealing is it to watch a real man in love with a cartoon? :)

I'm just one episode in, and these are just my personal opinions...No hate to the actress at all, but Dilraba…
I so agree - her female shape is plainly accentuated by the choice of costumes. And she does look too mature and too... contemporary maybe. She sort of sticks out like a time traveling transplant. I also wish they wrote her character in a little less aggrandising and ultimately generic terms... would have made for much more interesting drama. A 16 year old genius military strategist whose experience of war is but a game of ball is a little hard to credit.

DD is very beautiful and moves very well, but acting wise I think she is weak. So all endlessly long camera shots on her face at 'emotional moments end up showing there is no authentic emotion on her face whatsoever. She comes across as a cartoon character at best😎. However most other actors are quite strong, that only highlights how limited her acting is. Leo Wu rocks :) and btw there is no way for anyone with eyes to take her for a man!

His penance was to witness that DFQC gained the Glazed Fire.
To me they are worth each other. One went insane with his love for his master and was burning the world for it, the other went all impersonal and colluded with the insane one to provoke a war. Just because he wears white with gold trim doesn't mean he is not a tyrant and a jerk.

That is not much of a penance for what he did to his brother and many others

26 BILLION? There is only 8 billion people on the planet 🤣
yes I know those are views, but I don't understand the math: for instance just now, in October 2022 weibo.com received 38.5M visits with the average session duration 16:46. So even if we assume that is gets on average more views than that, maybe over a bl a year, as they once did, it it long way to 26 bl. China has over 582 ml users, not all of them are drama fans. It is possible that over a period of a long time total views of all times may go into bl, but there hasn't been a long time.

I gave this a chance because the rating was so high, but can someone tell me if the FL gets less annoying/cringey…
She gets a bit less annoying later. But the story is so lovely it is worth putting up with her. I gave up mid way too because of her, but came back later and just rolled my eyes and thought of her as a anime character.

Don't worry. It is happiness all around.

Title Forever and Ever Spoiler
I really liked the interaction between 2 leads, she is playful, he was awkward, and it worked. The supporting cast was great, especially his and her best friends. But to me the storyline was forced, tempo too bland, and some scenes were plain ridiculous - like holding her hostage with a knife. The proliferation of literary allusions and symbolism was a little hard to follow , the endless dressmaking and measure taking was frankly boring. A ton of things were never explained. The second brother behavior that caused his sister's death felt utterly implausible. The drama was enjoyable enough, but it felt like a fanfic not a professional writing. I think they could have made it much better.

Title The Untamed
It’s interesting to read the comments and reviews talking about what a masterpiece this is - I am on episode…
Same here. I will stick with it for a bit because it was recommended by so many but for now I am bored. So far there there is too much padding, scenes that drag for no reason, reams and reams of useless boring dialog, action is blah...

@Salsa Mia> One advice that works for me: If Lusi is not your favorite actress, just don't watch any of her drama,…
Drama is portraying older women as crazy because some women go crazy . I think you are infereing too many things that are not there. Again, just don't watch. I would also recommend you check the credits , and see who actually wrote the script. You could be surprised.

Maybe you need to update your education, or google: even now there are numerous countries that allow marriage at 15. Marriageable age in old China was 14 for girls, and no, most marriages were not between people of the same age, it is a myth. Juliette in Shakespeare's play is just under 14 and her prospective groom Paris is 24. Her mother had her when she herself was 13., her father is much older than her mother. In history Tokugawa Masako is 13 when she marries the Emperors who is 25, and on and on. FL i s over 15 at the beginning of the drama, 5 years pass by the time they do marry, so well over 16. But if it 'triggers' you so much to watch an excellent drama about an outstanding young person deep in love with an outstanding person 5 years her senior then just chose something else to watch. There are plenty of choices.

It is ridiculous. It is like saying that Romeo and Juliet is not a love story but a statutory rape and teen suicide story. If you can't handle history don't watch. Good thing that a pile of corpses, vengeance, torture, betrail, slavery, murder of children, multiple wives, forced marriages didn't outrage your sensibilities, only FL being of a marriageable age per old standard did, so there are still dramas that you should be OK with.

I think she has and she is. Every time he picks her up or when they touched you can see she feels the current. But she is just very young and very silly in the romance department. Admitting to herself that she likes him at all, to her right now would be like a major defeat, because this marriage was forced on her; and he is overbearing and controlling her in everything.

Unfortunately, the mum doesn’t realise that she made a mistake in how she treated her daughter until episode…
Her mother is very hard though her intentions are not evil. , FL, cute, smart and kind as FL is, she is also quite exasperating, and she is playing with fire - which I think she begins to grasp at the banquet. I think she behaves in the Imperial Palace like an complete idiot. Who nibbles on your own piece of bread at a formal table ? That is just rude by anyone's standard ! Who touches and measures things in somebody else's home let alone a palace? Who eavesdrops on imperial conversations, like they were your grandmother having histrionics in the courtyard? The problem f is not that she doesn't know things, the problem she doesn't even pay attention. Imperial daughters are royal b*tches, cruel and spoiled, but that doesn't make her behavior any less idiotic. :😎 Of course that gives him a chance to save the day, but his public proposal impressive as it was, did put her parents in a no choice situation. And, btw, he hadn't even think of asking her first.
On Love Like the Galaxy: Part 1 Oct 21, 2022
God's grief , women in this Cheng family are the absolute pits! Poor girl, between her hardliner military mother, the b*tch of an aunt, and the silly, self absorbed drama queen of a grandmother, it is a miracle she even turned out sane, let alone bright and talented ! And those nannies and servants are a nest of manipulative vipers.
